非英语专业学生自主学习能力的培养 学科专业：教育技术学 指导教师：杨晓钰副教授 研究方向：大学英语及计算机辅助外语教学 研究生：雷晓玲( g 2 0 0 4 3 9 9 ) 内容摘要 自从1 9 8 1 年h e n r yh o l e c 所著的自主性与外语教学一书发表以来，“以学生 为中心”的观念就被建立起来，怎样培养学习者自主成了教育者和研究人员的共识。 人们普遍认识到要提高学习效率，学习者应主动参与到学习过程去，并承担更多的 学习责任。学习自主逐渐成为外语教学界的热门话题。于是，各种关于学习自主的 调查研究纷纷涌现出来。本文通过对非英语专业大学生的自主性英语学习能力及存 在的问题进行调查，探讨如何提高学生的自主性英语学习能力。 英语教学界引入自主概念2 0 年来，学者们对什么是学习自主仍有不同的观点。 本文认为自主学习指的是学生在学习中从依靠教师到对自己的学习承担责任的愿望 和能力。愿望和能力是自主的两个要素。愿望来自于学生对学习承担责任的动机和 信心，而能力则可从学生为了解和完成学习任务而运用不同策略的过程中获得。不 同学习者在学习过程中表现出不同的学习态度，动机和元认知知识。在英语教学中 培养学生的自主学习能力应充分考虑到这三个要素。学习自主性的三个个理论来源： 人本主义、建构主义和认知主义表明，自主学习并不意味着孤立地学习或完全独立 于教师和其他学习者的学习。相反，自主学习涵盖了与教师和其他学习者的互动。 因此，自主学习者应对学习有积极的态度，有很强的学习动机和足够的信心来承担 学习责任，并在教师的引导下强化自主学习的能力。 基于对学习自主性概念、构成条件及其理论基础的阐述，本文对部分非英语专 业大学生的自主学习能力及存在的问题进行了调查。本研究的调查对象是重庆科技 学院1 0 5 名非英语专业二年级学生，采用的工具是一个改编的问卷。该问卷共有2 7 内容摘要 个项目，涉及以下四个方面：1 教师和学生在学习过程中的作用：2 学习目标：3 学 习者态度和动机；4 ：元认知知识和策略。为更深入地了解学生在自主学习中存在的 问题，问卷完成后又与石3 名学生进行了访谈。研究表明非英语专业学生的自主学习 能力普遍处于较低水平。虽然大多数学生渴望管理自己的学习，但他们过分依赖教 师，没有明确的学习目标，缺乏j 下确的学习动机和态度，元认知知识不足，因此无 法独立自主地学习。 在调查分析的基础上，作者就如何在当前教学环境下提高非英语专业学生的自 主学习能力提出了尝试性建议。本文认为教师和学生都应重新认识自己在学习过程 中的作用，教师从课堂教学控制者转变为促进者、顾问和信息咨询者。学生更加自 愿地承担学习责任，增强自主学习的能力。同时，教师应培养学生自主学习的意识 并在英语教学中训练学生运用元认知策略来进行自主学习。建立自主学习中心和利 用互联网将为学生提供更多机会独立学习。最后，为学生提供一个促进自主学习的 环境，以增强他们对英语学习的动机和信心。 关键词：学习者自主自主学习能力元认知策略 m a t h e s i s c u l t i v a t i n gn o n -
