摘要 视角在亨利詹姆斯的小说创作中占有重要地位。以往对他作品 的视角分析着重于人物心理探索。本文从小姑娘梅西的视角入手，通 过她对周围事物天真的观察以及对自身处境无知的反映，揭示由于不 理解社会中大人的行为方式所导致的权力关系中的被动和弱势；随着 观察的深入和知识的获得，梅西开始用批判的眼光代替最初流于表面 的“看”，并对她观察的事物做出积极反应。这些反应表现了她在权
