摘要 钱钟书是中国文学史上最伟大、最受读者欢迎的作家之一，他的小说围城 更是受到了国内外广大读者的好评，同样这部作品的英译本也受到了广泛关注。这 部作品包含了大量能体现汉语文化的特色的习语和谚语，与之相对应，英译本中也 尽量保留了这些汉语表达方式以及汉语文化特征，体现了源语风采。本文主要从奈 达的归化翻译理论以及由韦努蒂的异化翻译理论对围城中习语的翻译策略进行 研究。研究运用译本中的大量例句，探讨小说中不同文化类型的习语的翻译策略。 论文主要包括以下四个方面内容： 一、对国内外关于钱钟书、小说围城、围城英译本及其译者的研究做了 简要介绍。 二、介绍了归化、异化翻译策略的定义及理论基础，回顾了中外翻译界对该理 论的争议。 三、对围城中习语所体现出的文化差异进行了比较研究。作者根据围城 中习语所体现出的中西方文化差异，将围城英译本中的习语大致分为五类：( 1 ) 与宗教信仰相关的习语；( 2 ) 与社会习俗相关的习语；( 3 ) 与历史典故、文学著作 相关的习语；( 4 ) 与地理环境相关的习语；( 5 ) 与价值观、审美观相关的习语；论 文对以上五种文化类型习语的翻译方法进行了分析。研究结果表明，不同文化类型 习语翻译策略有所不同，对于与宗教信仰、历史文学典故以及社会习俗相关的习语， 译者多采用直译或直译加注的方法，即以异化为主的翻译策略；对于与审美观、价 值观和生态环境相关的习语，译者多采用替换、意译的翻译方法，即以归化为主。 四、总结了不同文化类型习语的翻译方法。在不同文化类型习语的翻译中，译 者同时运用了归化异化两种策略，其中以异化为主，归化为辅。如果异化后的文化 因素很难被目的语读者理解，应加注释进一步说明。对于富含不同类型文化因素的 习语，译者应该注重语言翻译，也应该注重分析文化因素，对中西方文化差异进行 对比研究，根据具体运用情况灵活选取翻译方法。除此之外，为了保留源语文化因 素，促进中西方文化交流，译者应选择直译或直译加注为主、意译为辅的翻译方法。 关键词：围城，习语，翻译，文化视角，归化，异化 a b s t r a c t q i a nz h o n g s h ui so n eo ft h ef o r e m
