Youll love it. Its at 4:00, and then were in the Starlight Dome that night. Woman 1: Where are we playing Saturday? Manager: Pittsburgh, at the Waterfront Fair. Well be there Sunday afternoon, too. Women 2: This schedule is brutal. When do we get a day off? Manager: Hah! Were booked through the weekend, but we have a light schedule on Monday. We just have to drive out to record the new CD in St. Louis, but at least you can sleep on the bus. Hmm? A:Mark, I need some help with a Physics assignment? Can you lend me a hand?B:Sure, but my schedule is pretty at the moment.A:I only need about an hour of your time. When are you free?B:Well, let me check my diary. Lets see How about Wednesday after lunch?A:That wont work. I have a Chemistry class then. I am Thursday after lunch does that suit you?B:Well, I am supposed to meet a friend for coffee, but I suppose I could postpone seeing him until next week.A:Would you mind? I really need some ? G: Oh, we made some great snowmen Alex: Is that you in this picture, too? G: Yes, thats me and Ruth againI guess we were both in high school then Alex: Where are you? G: We were hiking near Sewardwe hiked a lot in those days. Alex: But wheres the snow? G: Well, it doesnt snow ALL the time in Alaska, you know. That was in the springtimeSpring was a great time for hikingit was a little muddy, though Alex: Oh G: Look, heres a picture of Ruth now, outside her house. Alex: Thats Aunt Ruths house, in Alaska? I thought everybody lived in igloos! G: (laughing) Oh, no. Most people live in regular houses! Arent those flowers lovely? Alex: You mean, flowers grow there too? G: Of course. In the summer, everything just blooms its sunny and the weather is warm Alex: Warm? You mean, it was warm enough to go swimming G: Oh, we all went swimming in July and Augustthe water was coldbut swimming was so much fun Alex: Was summer your favorite season? G: You know, I love all the seasons, but I think my favorite season was autumn. The leaves in the mountains turning to goldI always loved that sign of the changing seasons Look, heres a picture of the mountains near our house in the fall Alex: Wow, Grandma, Id like to go to Alaska sometime. G: Well, Alex, Ive got an idea. Lets go to Alaska together sometime. Alex: Yeah, Grandma, thatd be great. A:This hot chocolate is just what the doctor ordered.B:It sure is its absolutely outside today!A:Yes, freezing weather. Have you heard the forecast for the rest of the week?B:Unfortunately, I have Temperatures drop even further.A:Youre kidding, right?B:Nope. Tomorrow and Friday are expected to be chilly with flurries.A:Snow! We almost never get snow.B:It .
