Practice reading comprehension.Teaching contents:words: paint, inside, knock, shout, if, special phrases: tellabout have a party a game called at Halloween cut out sentences: What do we do for Halloween?Teaching methods and strategies: task-based language teaching, Communicative teachingTeaching aids: WB, smart note- bookTeaching procedures:Step One :RevisionBy showing some pictures about the festivals to the students and review some knowledge about festivals【设计意图】显示图片复习节日课堂教学以生生对话,师生对话的形式展开,活跃气氛,拉近距离,做好铺垫。【课件设计方法】:凸显,拖拉,隐藏等功能Step Two: Pre-reading1.Show a picture about Halloween to the students, tell them my own experience at Halloween, lead the new words. 2.Go on exchanging information about Halloween to present new words.(教学光盘中的单词)【设计意图】教师借助与图片,和学生谈论万圣节的相关文化呈现生词和短语。【课件设计方法】插入教学光盘中的单词以及发音,带领学生学习并操练生词。Step Three :While readingSkimmingTo let Ss read the passage quickly and quietly to get the answers:When is Halloween?Who wrote(写 ) the article?【设计意图】教师介绍课文情境,指导学生带着问题快速阅读文章。【课件设计方法】利用白板拖拉功能呈现答案。Scanning1.To play the flash and encourage the Ss to fill in the blanks:When do they celebrate?People in which country celebrate it?How do they celebrate it?2.To complete Millies notes【设计意图】通过眼,耳,脑,手训练学生快速获取知识的能力。【课件设计方法】先插入光盘中的动画,然后插入电子课本中P51的B1 ,利用屏幕遮盖功能出现答案,或者用笔功能直接书写答案。3.To ask three students to read Paragraph 2-4 ,then complete the information about “What do people do to celebrate it?”4.Pair work and complete B2【课件设计方法】插入电子课本中的B2,呈现答案,教师也可以利用笔功能在题目上进行批注。Step Three Post-reading1.Watch ,listen and practice reading 【设计意图】(通过听说训练,为下一环节做准备)【课件设计方法】插入电子课本P58,播放录音,暂停,让学生跟读;教师可以用银光笔在学生难读,难懂的地方做批注。2.A competition between boys and girls链接:见PPT 11-17【设计意图】让学生细读课文,教师用男女生竞赛的形式检查学生对课文细节部分的掌握情况,同时培养敢于质疑、大胆质疑的能力【课件设计方法】利用链接功能,通过投骰子选择问题回答。3.Andy wants to know something about Halloween.
