WhathasgonewrongwiththeChineseuniversitysystem?Recent years, college education has become a pressing issue. A recent survey reveals that Chinese universities dropping down the Asian University Rankings, and to this phenomenon, people attach great weight. This essasy, aimed at analyzing the complicated phenomenon from diverse perspectives, tries to identify the relevant contributing factors and proposes some effective measures.Why are Chinese universities ranking behind other countries universities? To my mind, an array of integrated factors contribute to this. From the aspect of the students, some college students cant arrange their college life, and arent positive to study further or work hard assuming that they have passed the greatest barrier in their whole life-the college entrance examination and their relaxing college time comes. And these students may influence other students, and the study atmosphere of the whole university may become lighter. From the aspect of the teaching material we use, some materials are very traditional and dull, and the PPTs of some courses we use now may be marked several years ago. Besides, some theories in the books are out of touch with the daily life, and even out of date. From the aspect of the university itself, many universities simulate other universities without serious consideration, offer some courses that do not match the characteristics of the universities, the courses are not suitable for the students in their future, to some extent this means the failure of the education. Apart from this, the over attention-paid administration and the academic corruption weaken the study interest of the students. Additionally, the enlargement of the enrollment leads to the declining of the quality of the students. Meanwhile, the examination-oriented education still exists in universities.*From the aspect of the government, the government always gives more support and privilege to those famous schools and ignores the development of the more disadvantaged universities, some educational facilities in the universities are out of date and of course will influence the education level. Confronted with all these problems, we should come up with a variety of constructive countermeasures. Personally, the following are worth mentioning. First of all, the students should decide their ambitions as early as possible and put their heart in their study. Second, the universities should give more practical opportunities to students in the view of course selection. Last but not least, the government should provide more support for education, help the students in poverty, and try to maintain the equality for educational resources.
