Unit 1 Unit 1 Days and MonthsLesson 1 First, Second, Third 教材分析1. Analysis of the Students The students of Grade4 have mastered certain vocabularies, expressions and structures. They also have the abilities of working in groups. Most of them are willing to express their opinions in English as well as act the dialogue out.2. Analysis of Teaching ContentLesson 1 is the first lesson in Unit 1, Book 8.This unit focus on the subject Days and Months, Lesson 1mainly talks about Ordinal Numbers, this lesson is talk by a running race on page 3. meanwhile improve the students actual function of Ordinal Numbers. 教学目标【知识目标】1. To master the words: first, second, third, fourth, fifth, sixth, seventh, eighth, ninth, tenth, eleventh, twelfth.2. To master the sentence: The boy in red shorts is the third.【能力目标】Improve the students ability of speaking, listening, reading and writing. 【情感目标】Stimulate interest in learning English, and development of the students ability of using synthetic language.【教学重点】To master the words and phrases.【教学难点】To learn the actual function of Ordinal Numbers. 课前准备Tape recorder, Multimedia 教学过程Step 1. Warm-up1Greeting: T:Hello,everyone. How are you? Ss: Fine, thank you. How are you? T: Im fine ,thanks. Nice to see you again. Ss: Glad to see you again. 2. Review: Lets count from one to one hundred. (让学生以报数的形式说基数词)Ss: one, two, three, four, fiveone hundred.2. Sing the song.Step 2. Presentation1. Show the picture of the race to elicit the word “race”.2. Practice the word.3. Let students talk about pictures.4. Elicit the new words:Ask and answer: T: Who is the winner? Ss: Li Ming. T: We also can say: Li Ming is the first, the girl is the second, the boy is the third.5. Practice the words.6. Enjoy the video and repeat it.7. Explain the meaning of “in”.8. Practice the word “in”, by talking about Li Ming and the girl in picture.9. Explain fourth to twelfth.10. Summary the points of numbers.(1) 整十数的序数词:整十数的序数词是把整十数基数词的词尾y改为ie再加th(2) 两位数序数词的表示方法:几十几的序数词,十位数不变,个位数变成序数词,中间用“-”连起来(3) 序数词记忆顺口溜:1,2,3特殊记“th”从4以上记8减“t”,9减“e” (eight-eighth, nine-ninth)“ve”要用“f”替 (five-fifth, twelve-twelfth)整十去“y”变“ie”加th (twenty-twentieth)要问几十几或几百几 只变个位记心里!( twenty-two, twenty-second)Step 3.
