Warming up Watch two videos and give reports.Step 2. Leading-in.Let students PK.There are 4 tasks for them.Task 1.Draw pictures and guess the words.Task 2. Act out the phrases and guess.Task 3.Look at the pictures and guess.Task 4.Guess the phrases.Step 3. Presentation Show some pictures a broken bike,fix up the bike,give away the old clothes,take after, run out ofto make students knows the meanings.Step 4 .Work on 1a and match the sentences with the similar meaning.and check the answers with the students.Step 5.Show some pictures about the key phrasal verbs.Then let students finish 1b.Step 6. Get the students to listen to 1c and finish off the answers.Step 7.Play the tape again and cirle T or F.Finish 1d.Step 8 Role-play (1e) 1. Work in pairs. Role-play a conversation between Jimmy and the reporter. Use the information in 1c and 1d. 2. Let two students make a model for the students. 3. Students practice their conversations. 4. Teacher can walk around the classroom, and give some help to the students.Step 9.Summary.Summary what we have learnt with the students.Step 8 .Homework.Can you finish the story of Jimmy?Last week,Jimmy,the Bike Boy _money _old bikes.
