They are qualified enough to deal with this passage.Secondly, our students have been trained to use computers and basic techniques to explore knowledge with teachers in English classes.学习重难点分析教学重点:1.Basic skills for fast reading and detail reading.2.The structure of the passage, and its usage in our own composition.教学难点:1.Make reading questions and find answers correctly and quickly.2.Write a composition based on the structure weve learned.学习环境描述The lesson is explored in a standard Recorded Room in our school. And it is very easy and comfortable to handle the equipment. This creates a harmonious environment for the teacher and students to deal with target knowledge and interact in English class.学习目标设计1. To consolidate the basic skills for fast reading and detail reading.2. To try to make reading questions as teachers and understand the ways to find out the answers to reading questions via another angle.3. To extract structure of the passage and try to write a similar composition based on it.教与学过程设计教学内容教师活动学生活动媒体应用第一阶段Lead-inAttract and bring students to specific context: travel to Singapore.Get into the context quickly.Use personal computer, ppt. and voice for attraction.第二阶段Fast reading1.Have students go through the passage and finish Test 1 on their computers, using fast reading skills.2.Analyze the result and check answers with students. Deal with the difficult ones firstly. 3.Summarize fast reading skills and the main idea of each paragraph.1.Use the computer to finish Test 1 on 101 Platform.2.Collect the mistakes automatically for revision. Use personal computer to finish Test 1, and upload the answers to the platform.第三阶段Detail reading1.Let students work in groups. Each group is responsible for certain paragraph of the passage, and should make one or two questions for the paragraph. Upload to the Discussion Zone.2.Have students answer the questions that other groups have made, and ask them to underline the answers or sentences on their books.3.Ask students to give answers and guide the whole class deal with the them, using their computers to highlight the answers. 4.Summarize detail reading skills.1.Discuss in groups and upload one or two questions for specific paragraph to Discussion Zone.2. Check the Discussion Zone and answer the questions other groups have made. Underline the answers on books.3.Discuss the answers with the class.1.Use personal computer to upload information to the platform.2.Use Discussion Zone to collect and check students answers.第四阶段Post reading exercise1.Go over the passage again and find out the structure of the passage.2.Have students think what they are going to write next, another paragraph or an ending of the passage.3.Work in groups and each group choose one topic and write down on the Discussion Zone. Encourage students to search information they need on the internet.1.Write down one paragraph on Discussion Zone.2.Search useful and interesting information on the internet.1.Use personal computers to upload students writings to Discussion Zone.2.Use computer to search information on the internet.3.Use techniques provided by 101 Platform to reflect students answers.第五阶段Development1.Go over the passage and review what we have learned and the structure.2. Ask students to revise their articles or write a composition about an unforgettable place in groups. Remind them to refer to the structure weve learned.1.
