Review Unit 1 Unit 9Go for it Book 1Teaching DesignTeacher:裘香萍Students: Class 5, Grade 7Lesson type: Review Time duration: 40 minv Teaching materialThis class is aimed to review all the contents from Go for it Book 1, which contains various topics, including the family, spending time with friends, shopping, school subjects and so on. All the topics are closely related to students daily life, so they would be more interested in them. Time limited, this class focuses on the key phrases in the textbook, some exercise as well as some listening practice. At the end of the class, students are supposed to write a passage to introduce themselves with the target language from Go for it Book 1. v Learning conditionStudents in Class 5, Grade 7 are very active. They are eager to express themselves. More importantly, they are willing to take part in all the activities designed by the teacher, such as the group competition, role play, etc. In this stage, most of the students already have had a good command of the target language in this book, like plural forms, verb phrases (like doing sth.), the third person singular and so on. Mr. Wang is your teacher. (science)Intention: This game is intended to activate students schemas and arouse their interest. And it can lead to the following “Puzzle Game”.Activity 2: 【Leading in】 Puzzle Game!The T makes a puzzle game before the class with the important words from this book, like excuse, December, etc. Students will have a group competition with the sentence pattern “No. 2 is chicken.”难度:At the end of the game, each group can get three stars. Intention: Puzzle Game is aimed to help students review the important words from the textbook by the means of a game. More importantly, students interests can be aroused and they would be more willing to participate in the activities by competing with each other. Activity 3: 【Review and Consolidation】 Getting stars through tasks!1. The T presents seven different pictures to students, respectively Echos ID card, family, room, sports possessions, likes, birthday and favorite subject, indicating different units from this textbook. (There are two different tasks for each unit. And different tasks have different difficulty degrees, indicated by the number of stars.)2. According to the previous pictures, students can choose any of them to do the tasks. Then, between the two tasks, students can choose one of them to do. If they can finish it correctly, they can get the stars accordingly. Then, another two students from another group will have the same role play. The group with better performance can get two stars. Task 2Listen and find out their positions. The winners group can get two stars. Unit 9Task 1Task2Intention: The whole activity is aimed to review the target language through various tasks. The variety can appeal students attention and make the exercise more interesting. In addition, the competition between groups can arouse their interest a lot. Students can practice their listening, speaking and reading skills in this part. Activity 4: 【Writing】 Lets write!1. T shows a table with some basic information about the T. Then, the T guides students how to write a passage in order to introduce oneself. For example: My birthday is on February 21st. My father, my mother, my sister and I are in my family. I like playing volleyball. I like rice and milk for breakfast. 2. With the guidance of the T, students fill in a chart about themselves. And then, they need to write a passage about themselves.Intention: This writing passage combines all the topics in the textbook. Also, it is closely related to students themselves. T
