Teaching important points.1) Talk about the hobbies in the past and now.2) Learn the new words, phrases and language points. 2. Teaching difficult points:学会大胆表达自己的喜好和意愿。同时,鼓励学生和别人交谈彼此以前和现在的喜好。used to, but now.四、Teaching procedures:Step 1 Leading in1. Lead in the learning aims of this class.2. Ss read the two new words after the teacher.Step 2 Talking1. Look at these problems. What did you watch in your childhood? Ss discuss with their partners 2.Well move into “childhood”. Step 3 Pairwork.Teacher show some phrase, these phrase are the things that the teacher used to do when she was a child. She wonders whether they are the things that Ss used to do when they were children.1. Find some Ss to make dialogues with teachers.2. Then find some pairs to make up dialogues like this:A: I used to , What about you?B:Well, I used to Did you use to?A:Yes, I did./No, I didnt.Step 4 Comparisons1. Show some pictures of the past and now. 2. Use the pictures and find some Ss to fill in the blanks.3. Then, Ss read the sentences together. Step 5 Pair work:Work on 1c:Talk about your childhood with your partner. Try to use used to . but now.Give Ss some mins to prepare, and then find some pairs to perform their dialogues.Step 6 Listening:Work on 1b1. Play the recording for the Ss to listen and check the sentences you hear in 1b. 3. Play the recording again. Check the answers with the Ss. Work on 2a and 2b: T: Listen again. What do the girl and the boy say about things in the past and now? Fill in the chart. 1. Let Ss read the sentences in 2a. 2. Play the recording for the Ss to listen and write the words in the blank. 3. Play the recording again to check the answers. Step7 Group work Compare yourself with your groupmembers.
