Warming-up 1. Greet the students and introduce myself in a short way. 2. Encourage the students to be brave. Lead in1.To motivate the students learning interest, I let the students enjoy a short video that related to the animals. And ask them some questions about the video:T:Do you like this video?T:What can you see in it?Then have them to recall the animals they had seen and learn the new word: animal. Presentation1. Show the students some pictures about animals. Let them know animals are our good friends.2. Ask them if they want to make some new friends with animals?3. learn the new words by playing a guessing game.First, use some typical words to introduce different animals and let the students guess what animal it is.T:Ill introduce some new animal friends to you. The first one:Now ,can you guess who she/he is?Then the students give their answers. I show the students some pictures about this animal and present the new word for them. Learn the new word. (use this way to learn tiger, lion, panda, elephant, koala, giraffe)Last, talk about if they like this animal and tell us the reason.T: Do you like pandas?T: Why do you like pandas? Because they are cute.(use this way to learn the adjectives: cute, fun, smart, lazy, scary, beautiful)4.Review the animal words and adjectives. Pair work 1)Ask the students to imagine “ We are in the zoo, there are many kinds of animals here.” Then ask a student to do the model with me: Lets see the lions first. Why?
