Warming up ：Find three boys .One is a fat and tall boy，another is a thin and short boy, the third is of medium height。目的：引起学生的学习兴趣，了解人物的外貌特征，通过对比，让学生学会对一个人的外貌描写。用heavy, tall, thin, short这几个词引出句型：1. What do you look like? Hes really tall. He has long straight hair. 2. What does she look like? Shes of medium/build. Presentation 1. Match the words with the people in the picture. (1a) look at the pictures, Use the letters to match the people in the picture with one of the numbered words. Write each letter next to a numbered word. You can use some letters more than once. Check the answers.(Keys: c, f, a, a, d, h, e, b, g, e) 2. Leading into the words to describe the person.(1). Showing the pictures about some actors and actress to teach the new words “height，curly”。Then practice “What does he look like? He is really tall.” (2). Showing a cartoon girl ,let students tell”ear, face, hair, eye, nose, mouth”。Then practice“What does he look like? He has long straight hair.”。(3). Showing pictures to teach hair a beard, a moustache, glasses。. Practice (Section A 1c) 1. Read the conversation and recite it. 2. Practice the conversation according to some pictures.
