Unit 6 When was it invented?Section A 1 (1a-1c)指导思想:本课是新版新目标英语九年级册上第6单元的SectionA 1a-1c。新课程英语极为突出“以人为本”的理念,重视学生能力的培养。不仅强调向学生传授语言知识,更注重培养学生的语言技能,重视学生的情感和态度,激发学生的学习兴趣,培养学生的学习自信心,最终促进学用结合的目标的实现。本节课的教学设计过程中对教材进行了重整,设计由简到繁,由易到难,以学生为主体,以任务为基础;创设情景拉近学生的学习与生活,创设活动鼓励学生合作,在做中学,在做中练,在完成任务的同时学习语言。教材分析:此套教材集合了美式英语的特点也融入了中国的教学理念,着重于文化背景知识和学习策略等部分,增加了任务型学习成份和语篇输入。本单元的话题为谈论各种古今中外的发明创造。本节为听说课,要求学生能够较为流畅地、简单地介绍其发展史,包括发明者,发明时间,发明物的物质构成和其存在的意义等等。围绕“谈论发明” 使学生学会并巩固一般过去式的被动语态。本单元的教学内容与学生的实际生活密切相关,易于引发学生的学习兴趣及调用其所学知识,丰富其自身并促成其感情的升华。学情分析:九年级的学生英语已经有了一定的语言基础,尤其在听、说、词汇等方面较七八年级有了长足的进步。本节课为被动语态的继续学习环节,所以学生已经具备了谈论这一话题的基本知识。但班级内仍然存在一部分英语基础薄弱者。如何调动这部分学生的上课积极性,以及英语活动的参与性,需要在课堂设计上下工夫。此外,本节课与历史信息相关,能够较为有利地调动学生的兴趣,实现教育教学目标。Teaching Aims: 1. Knowledge Aim:Be able to use the past passive voice: was/were + done Who was it invented by? When was it invented?2. Warming up1) Show and talk about some objects of the inventions from our school to lead in the new class 2) Learn the usage: was/were invented by sb. was/ were invented in + 时间(Let students try to know something about the past passive voice). Presentation 1. Talk about the students invention to practice the passive voice (According to the speaking practice, the students can be able to use it and grasp the sentence pattern bit by bit. )2. Discussion and Description for 1a1) Task1a: Discuss with your group, in what order do you think they were invented? Try to number them 1-4. 2) Describe the orders like this: I think the TV was invented before/ after the car. was invented before/ after .(The part seems to be a bridge for part 2 and 4 .)3. Listening task (1b): listen and connect the correct year with each invention.1) Listen for 2 times to match.2) Check the answers 3) Check the answers to 1a. (Its set to consolidate the usage of the past passive voice and lead in the pair work to practice it by talking about their histories.)4. Pair works Talk about the invented years of these inventions in pairs. Eg. A: Whats it?B: Its a car.A: When was the first one invented?B: It was invented in 1885.5. Grammar Summary for the Past Passive Voice 一般过去时的被动语态句式结构: 肯定句:主语+was/were+动词过去分词(+ by)否定句:主语+was/were+ not 动词过去分词(+ by)一般疑问句:Was/Were+主语+动词过去分词(+ by)?肯定否定回答:Yes, was/were. No, wasnt/werent.特殊疑问句:特殊疑问词+was/were+主语+动词过去分词(+by)?6. Group work1). Requests: a) Choose one task to finish in your group. b) Talk about the history of the invention.c) Choose at least 5 pieces of information from the tips.d) Give a report or make a conversation. 2).
