During this time you will receive training in State-Of-The-Art molecular cytogenetic techniques and will apply these techniques for the characterization of wheat-Dasypyrum breviaristatum introgression lines. You have several publications written in English, suggesting you have excellent English. In my opinion, we can communicate with and understand each other freely. The WGGRC is not charging any bench fees and will provide all equipment and supplies for the proposed research. A list of our facilities and equipment is attached to this letter. However, your fellowship needs to cover the international travel costs and living expenses in Manhattan, which are approximately 1.200 USD per month.I joined the WGGRC in 1989 and since then have been working on the transfer and molecular cytogenetic characterization of wheat-alien introgression lines conferring resistance to diseases and pests. I have published more than 140 research articles and book chapters in international journals and I am on the board of the international journals THEORETICAL AND APPLIED GENETICS, CYTOGENETIC AND GENOME RESEARCH, AND CHROMOSOME RESEARCH.I strongly support your application for a CSC fellowship.
