One of his friends had stopped to make a bicycle repair, but they had encouraged Mac to carry on, and they would catch

He fired at the wolf a second time, and again, it fell back only to quickly restart the chase (追赶).Mac was pedaling hard now. He waved and yelled at passing cars but was careful not to

9、slow down. It was a steep uphill climb before him. He knew that once he hit the hill, he' d be eup and the wolf ' s teeth would be tearing into his flesh. At this moment, Paul and Beeky were driving their car on their way to Alaska. They didn think much of it when they saw two cyclists repair

Mac heard a large vehicle behind him. He pulled in front of it as the wolf was catching up fast, just a do

11、zen yards away now.

根据情节,需要储备一 些词汇,如赤手空拳 bare hands;同斗争 fight with / against; 靠近 approach to; 与此同时 at the same time / in the meanwhile; 僵持状态 deadlock; 危险况 dangerous situation; 威胁

14、 threat;撤退/逃跑 withdraw / run away; 消失 disappear,;在远处 in the distance 等。 Paragraph 1:The car abruptly stopped in front of him. Paul and Becky got out of the car immediately to give help. But with the bare hands, they didn' t dare to fighwwtHtheever, theystill approached to the wolf bravely. At

Some drivers took out the sticks from the cars, and some took out the knives, even the guns towards the wolf. Just at that time, the wolfi might feel

17、 the threats from the people, starting to withdraw. Soon, it ran away off the road and disappeared in the distance.

Shoes can tell you a lot about a person.
