1、Henry Adams Henry Adams is an American (1838-1918).He was born in Boston, Massachusetts , a city in the east part of the country. 13、l Party for Vice President of the United States in 1848. Adams married Marian Hupo in 1872 and then they back to live in Washington. However , Marian end her own life in 1885.Her death was a quite heavy hit on him and he travelled about and seldom back to Washington . To keep contact with his friend

14、s , he wrote to them . Henry Adams died in Washington in 1918. His Life Adams was educated in Harvard University and then in German .When the Civil War broke out in 1861, he lived in England , since his father was England-based ambassador and later ,he became his fathers secretary and at the same ti

17、to be his private secretary, continuing a father-son pattern set by John and John Quincy, and suggesting that Charles Francis had chosen Henry as the political scion of that generation of the family. Henry shouldered the responsibility reluctantly and with much self-doubt. I had little to do, he ref

The organizing thread of the book is how the proper schooling and other aspects of his youth, was time wasted; thus his search for self-education through experiences, friendships, and reading.The Education of H

23、these sobering experiences. But he did, in fact, speak to his marriage in indirect ways. For example, he lamented how the memorial he had constructed for his wife had become something of a tourist attraction.
