Let children ask and answer, talk about spring, using the sentence structures in this unit. Show the sentences on PPT one by one. Put
9、 the answer sentence cards on the board. At the same time, draw a mind map about spring and put the key words( cards) in the map.All the sentence structures:1. -When is _ ? -Its from _ to _ . They need to ask and answer, talk about the season they choose, using the same sentence structures. Also they need to draw a similar mind map and write down the key words in the map
12、.5) Show time.Let some children to show their mind map before the class, to ask and answer with the sentence structures.6) The teacher uses the key words in the mind map to describe spring first. Spring lasts fom March to May. In spring, its warm. We wear shirts and trousers. Spring is green because
13、 plants grow. We can go for an outing and fly kites. I like spring.Then let some children talk about other seasons like this.7) Talk about the festivals in four seasons simply. Then ask children to read a passage about festivals in four seasons and finish the exercises. Read the following passage an
14、d write “T” or “F”. Festivals In Four seasonsThere are many festivals in each season. Some are western festivals and some are Chinese traditional festivals. We have Easter, Fools Day and Mothers Day in spring. Normally Chinese Dragon Boat Festival is in summer. Its on May 5th in Chinese lunar calend
15、ar. But this day is often in June in solar calendar(阳历). We also have Childrens Day, Fathers Day, Partys Day(建党节) and Army Day(建军节) in summer. In autumn, Thanksgiving Day and Mid-autumn Festival are very interesting. But children like Halloween best because they can play trick-or-treat. Christmas an
16、d Spring Festival are important in winter.
