Step2:Playtheaudiotape.Useyourdiscretiontodecidewhetheryouwanttospendsometimeonthenewvocabulary.Youmaywanttoaskstudentstoexplainthemeaningofsomesentencescontainingkeywords.Whatstrategiesdidtheyusetopuzzleoutthemeanings?Remembertogivelotsofpraiseforagoodtry,evenifit'swrong.Itmaybehelpfultowritethefollowingphrasesonalargepieceofpaperorontheblackboard,asareview.Thiswillbehelpfulforstudentstorefertointhenextstep.

Dividetheclassintosmallgroupsofthreeorfourstudents.Eachgroupchoosesatypeoftransportationfortheproject.Instructstudentstobegincollectinginformationaboutthattypeoftransportation.Theywillprepareacomicstriportimelineofimportantdatesinitsdevelopment.

Telltheclassthateachgroupstartswithascoreoftenineachofthesecategories:projectplan,cooperation,useofEnglish,quietness,progress,finalproduct.Writetheseacrossthetopoftheblackboard.AlongtheleftsideOftheblackboard,writealistofthegroupsnames.
Addorsubtractscoresaccordingtoeachgroup'sperformance.Forexample,ifagroupistryingtousealotofEnglish,giveittwopoints(sonowithastwelvepointsinthatcategory).Ifagroupisworkingwithtoomuchnoise,subtractapointfromthatgroupinthatcategory.
