beeninRioandTokyo,whichhelpedmestaycalmandbetterunderstandtheracescenarios.Ihadn'tseenthe

courseyet,buttheprofilesuggestedaclassicstyleracethatwouldbecompetitiveandquitetechnical一allaspectsI

enjoyed.Beingabletocompeteinsuchanenvironment,especiallywiththesupportofmylovedones,addeda

significantlayerofexcitementandmotivation.

StayingattheOlympicVillagewasalsoanamazingexperience.Thelargefoodcourtsweresharedbyall,

meaningIcouldbehavingbreakfastwithsomeoneIadmiredandwatchedonTV.Wewereabletostayandrelaxin

thevillageafterourcompetition,fullyfeelingthevillageenergy.Itwaslikeasmallcityforathletes,wherewe

couldobservehowotherspreparedfortheireventsandhowtheyhandledthepost-competitionemotions.Although

theruleshadchanged,andwethenhadtoleavetheaccommodationsoonafterourevents,thevillagekeptexciting

andencouragingus.

AttheOlympics,werepresentedourcountryorregion,andriderswhowereourrivalsfinallybecameour

teammatesfortheevent.Theteamatmosphereandmutualunderstandingbetweeneachotherwerekey,andIwas

luckytobepartofasupportivegroupofgirlswhosharedthesamegoal.
