poetrybothlessenedpainintensityanddepression,butonlypoetryincreasedhope
scores.
Afterlisteningtopoems,oneparticipantsaid,“1feelcalmerwhenIhearthose
words.Sadnesspasses.Theyareimportantwords;theyshowmethatI'mnotalone.^^
Whatisitaboutthosewordsthatgivesthemthepowertokeepsadnessaway,and,

abletoascertainthattherecitationofpoetryengagesthemesolimbicpathway(中脑
