13、wever, as students learn more and more words, they will find that some words they are able to use for speaking and writing and some are only recognizable when encountered in reading. Also, there are some words that after being encountered more and more times gradually enters from ones receptive to o

14、nes productive .,2020/7/7,13,Implications on voc. teaching (key to task 3): both denotative and connotative meaning need to be learned; words are better understood in context; a group of related words is likely to be more memorable than a list of unrelated items, i.e. words learned with synonyms, an

15、tonyms or hyponyms; knowledge of word formation is a useful source for developing voc. exploring sense relations among/between words help with learning and remembering words. Teachers and learners need to be aware of the difference between receptive and productive voc. .,Try to provide a visual or p
