Charlotte Bronte was one of the great female novelists in the 19th century English litera

2、ture, who was famous for her great novel Jane Eyre. Charlotte Bronte was born in Yorkshire, England on April 21, 1816. It was a time when women and the poor were oppressed and unequally treated.,Jane Eyres Story,Jane saddled with all the misfortunes began her life. Her parents went off and her aunt

3、treated her as badly as a ragtag and then sent her into the orphanage when she was very young. However Jane Eyre was a born resister. Being humiliated and devastated in Logwood Orphanage, Jane learned to be persevering and prize dignity over anything else. She did her best to gain the knowledge, so

4、getting a chance to be a tutor in Thornfield Garden. She got there and acquaintance of that gardens owner, Rochester, a despairing person in need of salvation, and then they fell in love with each other.,Unfortunately she came to know Rochester had got a legal wife in fact when they got down to get

5、marry. Because of her own principles, she made up her mind to leave. After suffering a lot in her leaving way, she met her cousin, Brocklehurst, and inherited a large number of legacies. When he promised to Jane Eyre, she thought of Mr. Rochester and finally returned. After finding Rochesters misfor

She often dreams of him like that she is embraced by him, hearing his voice, meeting his eyes, touching hi

Jane Eyre loves Rochester deeply from the beginning to the end.She loves him not because his wealth and high rank, but because he treats her equally and in a friendly manner, although she is very poor and in low position.,Independence Spirit Jane Eyre is exposed to a hostile environ

In every relationship, Jane rises from inferiority to superior, and finally gains full independence through continuous rebellion.,Equality between Man and Woman Jane Eyre maintains her respect by her hard working, wisdom, and the strong individualism. 12、qual at Gods feet. The relationship between Jane Eyre and Rochester changes from host and servant to equal couple. Jane Eyre struggles continually to achieve equality and to overcome oppression. In addition to class hierarchy, she must fight against those who believe women are inferior to men. Three

13、 central male figures threaten her desire for equality and dignity: Mr. Brocklehurst, Edward Rochester, and St. John Rivers, each try to keep Jane in a submissive position, where she is unable to express her own thoughts and feelings. In her quest for independence and self-knowledge, she must escape

14、 Brocklehurst, reject St. John and come to Rochester only after ensuring that they may marry as equals.,From a weak small orphan girl in lower class, Jane Eyre ultimately gains a happy life.
