Section B( 1a-2c) 第三课时作者及工作单位作者：王湘君工作单位：江西宜丰新庄中学教材分析本单元围绕“表述人的特征”(Talking about personal traits) 和“对人物进行比较“（How to compare people）这两个功能项目，通过听、说、读、写等活动，让学生进一步学会如何用形容词、形容词的比较级来描述人的个性特征，学习比较身边的事物并进行最佳方案选择。本单元前两课时在形容词原级描述人物礼貌的基础上，继续学习了如何用形容词的比较级。Section A 中Activity 1a, 1b, 1c 借用任务的设计，给学生提供了用比较级比较的规范句型，引导学生在交际中有目的地学习语言，为更好地展开各项活动提供了足够的语言材料。本课时为本单元第三课时，主要话题是“我心目中的好朋友是这样的”。本课时综合运用了描述朋友的外貌、个性、爱好等方面的各种句型。学情分析学生已经在七年级下册第七单元中学过不少关于描述人物外貌的形容词和不同句型（Fred is heavy/thin/tall/short Tina has long straight/short curly hair Tom wears glasses/a white shirt）。在此基础上继续用形容词的比较级谈论两人在外貌和个性上的异同等话题是符合学生的认知水平的，也是水到渠成的事情。本单元的第一课时通过几对双胞胎外貌和个性特征的比较展示本单元话题：Im more outgoing than my sister. 引出形容词比较级，激发了学生的学习兴趣。既然学生在七年级下册第七单元和其他单元中已经接触过此类句型，再加上前两课时的词汇和句型坐铺垫，这一课时正好给以前的语言材料提供了新的使用场合。所有，教师要尽量帮助学生充分调动已有的知识，这既能让学生用起来得心应手，有一种成就感，又能让学生认识到语言积累的重要性。 教学目标 1. 知识目标复习如何描述人物外貌、个性特征以及比较兄弟、姐妹、朋友间的异同。学习更多有关朋友的外貌、个性、爱好方面的词汇和句型。Words and phrases : make, laugh, schoolworkNew patterns: I think a good friend makes me laugh.
