These blender carafes have been tested over 500 cycles with no cracking.,Cracks after 9 dishwasher cycles in PC,No crazes or cracks in mugs molded from Eastman Tritan copolyester after 100 residential dishwasher cycles!,42,Dishwasher durability: validation,A number of tests have been performed to establish the dishwasher durability of parts made from Eastman Tritan copolyester TX1001 and TX2001,Bottom line on dishwasher durability,Eastman has NOT been able to craze or crack parts molded out of Eastman Tritan copolyester in a residential or commercial dishwasher Our customers have NOT been able to crack and craze parts molded out of Eastman Tritan copolyester in a residential or commercial dishwasher Brand owners may stop testing for environmental stress cracking via dishwashing when using Eastman Tritan copolyester,Staining,Eastman Tritan copolyester TX1001 and TX2001 can stain on extended exposure to heated foods Certain foods in contact with these materials for long periods of time, such as turmeric (curry and yellow mustard) and tomato sauce can cause discoloration The nature of applications for this material suggest that prolonged contact with hot foods does not result in observable color change Polycarbonate has excellent stain resistance; polypropylene is much worse. Eastman Tritan copolyester is intermediate between these two materials, but closer to PC,45,Cleaning of stained samples,Immersion 24 hr, room temp 10% bleach solution,Microwavability,A number of tests have indicated that, due to the particular Tg, microwaving is generally not recommended Molded bowls of small capacity survived extended microwave cycles, to the point of heavily burnt food However, temperature capability is such that at certain temperatures and times, with certain foods, molded parts will creep and distort Short exposure to boiling water is acceptable and generally will not cause any type of distortion Large pans (such as food service containers) filled with cold gravy cannot be reheated without some distortion due to non-uniform heating in the microwave and very long heating times,Sound characteristics,47,Products made out of Eastman Tritan copolyester have a differentiated sound when contacted, drop
