摘要 本文旨在研究如何帮助英语专业学生课外学习的问题。课外学习 是英语教学过程中不可分割的重要环节，它对促进学生发展具有举足 轻重的作用。但是，由于英语在我国是外语，长期以来研究大多集中 在课堂教学。这种局限导致大多数英语专业学生缺乏综合知识和应用 能力，不能适应2 1 世纪人才的需要。当今我国进行的英语教学改革 的重心已从单纯注重教学转移到学习者在课内及课外的学习。 在建构主义理论指导下，本研究采用了行动研究的方法，主要探 讨了建构主义模式的协作学习在英语课外学习中的实际运用，旨在发 现其对英语专业学生课外学习的影响：协作学习对英语专业二年级学 生的元认知策略使用频次、学习动机、情感态度及口语学业成绩方面 是否有影响；课外协作学习与单独课外学习在元认知策略使用频次、 学习动机、情感态度及口语学业成绩方面对学生有何不同的影响。该 试验将4 8 名英语专业二年级两个自然班学生分成实验组和控制组， 运用了定量和定性的研究方法，进行了为期1 6 个星期的课外协作学 习试验。定量研究包括试验前后的口语期末成绩测试，试验前后的问 卷调查等，并运用了s p s s l 3 o 对收集的数据进行了分析；定性研究 作为定量研究的补充，内容包括学生的学习周记、反思报告，试验后 的学生访谈。 研究结果表明，课外协作学习有利于提高学生元认知策略的使用 频次，增强学生的内在学习动机，培养学生对英语课外学习正面、积 极的情感态度，并帮助学生提高口语成绩。研究发现试验组的学生对 课外协作学习持积极认可的态度，并认为协作学习对英语课外学习有 利。 该研究为如何通过课外协作学习帮助英语专业学生成为课外自主 学习者提供了新的途径和方法。 关键词：协作学习课外学习英语专业学生 a b s t r a c t i nt h i st h e s i st h ep r o b l e mo ff a c i l i t a t i n ge n g l i s hm a j o r s o u t -
