摘要 “杂交 ( h y b r i d ) 一词源于生物学领域，但是这一概念己被诸多领域 引用，并取得公认的成果。“杂合文本 即是将“杂交概念引入翻译研究 后产生的新概念，这里的“杂合”是对英文“h y b r i d 的不同汉译，其意 义与“杂交”相同。自克里斯特娜沙夫娜和贝弗尔里阿黛柏首次提出 “杂合文本 的概念以来，杂合文本就得到译界的积极响应，已有一些学 者专门对杂合文本进行比较仔细的研究。 在此，本文从杂合文本的概念及特点出发，主要阐述杂合文本的产生、 杂合文本的生存以及杂合文本的作用。其中，在分析翻译文本中的杂合性 时，作者均选取赛珍珠的水浒传译文m 1m e na r eb r o t h e r s 作为语料， 以证明即使赛珍珠希望那些不懂中文的读者读她的翻译像读一部中文原文 小说，她的译文也是杂合的。文章除引言和结语部分，共分四章： 引言简单介绍了杂合概念的由来，并回顾了国内外有关翻译中杂合性的 研究，同时指出全球化不断加快，翻译的作用日趋凸显，为杂合文本的产 生及存在提供了良好的环境。 第一章描述了杂合文本的概念和特点，指出杂合文本是“由翻译产生的 文本 ( 沙夫娜、阿黛柏，2 0 0 1 ：1 6 9 ) ，它既不同于原文本，也不同于目标 语中的已有文本，而是拥有双方的某些特点。 第二章主要从杂合文本的产生原因及杂合文本的产生过程两节，探讨了 杂合文本的产生。其中，第一节从内在原因和外在原因两个方面加以讨论， 第二节引入翻译适应选择论相关原理进行阐述，指出杂合文本是在文化差 异这一内在原因以及政治、读者等其它诸多外在因素共同作用下，直接由 译者适应选择的结果。杂合文本的产生极为复杂，译者有意识的适应选择 也极为困难，充满了挑战性。正因为此，杂合文本也面临生存的考验，于 是 第三章论述杂合文本在“适者生存 的法则中经受的考验。着重论述读 者的喜好和目的语言文化的检验是对杂合文本中的杂合性进行过滤的两大 主要因素。而杂合的度则影响着读者及目的语言文化对杂合的接受程度， 因而在其中不容忽视。 第四章则论述经受过考验的杂合文本对目的语语言、文化及读者的积极 作用，指出杂合文本可以优化目的语语言，丰富目的语文化，以及扩大读 者眼界。 文章最后得出结论，作为译者有意识选择的结果，杂合文本是在诸多因 素的制约下产生的；加之在全球化日趋加快的今天，杂合文本的产生更具 有不可避免性，文本的杂合性在翻译中呈现出一种趋势；杂合文本的存在 有一定的价值，其在翻译中的普遍及客观存在应引起译界更多的关注。 关键词：翻译；杂合文本；异质性；选择 a b s t r a c t t h e c o n c e p to f h y b r i d
