亘宣奎塑盔堂塑塞生堂焦迨窒 一j 矍上垦一 摘要 本文的研究对象是功能语法的语类概念。在对功能语法语言符号学说和国 内外对语类概念的引入发展的基础上，本文系统地论述了功能语法下的语类模 式、语类结构潜势系统、语类构成分析及中英文几类语类的对比分析，揭示了 语类分析对于语言文化研究的作用。 世界上的语言之间存在着显著的差异，但差异的背后又有很多相同或相近 的共性。这种语言的异同实际反映了更深层次上的社会文化的异同。引入语类 概念于语言研究，能很好的解决语言对比中的文化因素的问题，语类的分析对 比可期待弥补话语分析、语篇研究的不足；不同文化中的相似递差语类及某文 化特有语类的对比研究将为语言社会功能研究另辟溪径。 功能语言学家韩礼德、哈桑等都曾阐述了语类潜势，并对一些日常语类进 行了潜势分析，提出了这是把握一个语篇的前提，对结构潜势的分析也充分体 现了某文化的语言特色。国内语言学家方琰等也就语类分析及其应用发文专述， 尽管语类分析的一些方面仍有分歧，语类与文化的密切联系已得到了广泛认同。 然而，不同文化下的语类对比，尤其是汉语、英语的语类分析对比还不多， 本文因此鲁在就此进行一些研究。系统功能语法中，语言是一个多层次的符号 系统，在语言社会层次上语类分析向上体现一种文化心理认知的差异，向下渗
