摘要 拉尔夫艾里森被誉为二战后美国最有影响的黑人作家之一。他 唯一的一部巨作无形人一经出版即引起国内外评论界的高度关注。 评论家从多种角度解读评价此小说，如小说的写作技巧，主题思想， 创作来源，文化底蕴等等。批评方法的多样性，切入角度的多元化凸 现了小说自身的包容性。但鲜少有人把此小说与巴赫金的狂欢化诗学 建立联系。本文试图用巴赫金的狂欢化理论来解读这部小说。 本论文分为狂欢精神，狂欢仪式，狂欢大众三部分。绪论部分是 评论综述，指出巴赫金，陀思妥耶夫斯基，无形人及其拉尔夫艾 里森之间的直接或问接的关系，初步建立起无形人和狂欢化的联 系。第一部分解读小说中充溢着的狂欢精神。首先表现为狂欢的彻头 彻尾的颠覆精神：因为处处的颠覆世界不再是一成不变的，而是 流动的，任何事物都不断地向着自身的另外一面发展，因而表现出可 笑的相对性。梅尼普精神和狂欢节倡导的平等的对话精神也在小说中 无处不在。第二部分解读小说中体现的狂欢节最重要的仪式脱冕加 冕仪式。这是一组而非单纯的一次脱冕加冕。此外作为狂欢加冕脱冕 的所在地一狂欢广场也在此章中得到阐述。第三部分探讨小说中的狂 欢大众。这些狂欢大众由成对的形象，小丑形象，傻子或疯子形象组 成。结论部分对全文进行综述，充分肯定无形人中渗透的狂欢成
