摘要 英汉的衔接和连贯理论是语言学界的热门话题，韩礼德和哈桑夫妇于1 9 7 6 年 所著的c o h e s i o ni ne n g l i s h 可以被看作是关于这一理论的经典。之后。有很多中外 学者著书立文，从各个角度阐述语篇的衔接手段，以及如何促成语篇的连贯问题。 韩礼德和哈桑( 1 9 7 6 ) 将语篇的非结构性衔接分为语法衔接手段和词汇衔接 手段，共五种。其中语法手段包括照应( r e f e r e n c e ) ，替代( s u b s t i t u t i o n ) ，省略 ( e l u p s i s ) ，连接( c o n j u n c t i o n ) ，与词汇衔接手段同属于显性的衔接机制。然而，韩 礼德和哈桑在c o h e s i o ni ne n g l i s h 中，对于词汇衔接的手段也只是提到复现 ( r e i t e r a t i o n ) 和搭配( c o l l o c a t i o n ) 两种情况，进一步的描述略显不够。其他不少学者 的论著中，对于词汇衔接手段如何实现语篇连贯也是语焉不详。事实上，词汇衔 接在整个语篇的连贯中功不可没，是主要的衔接手段。其中复现( r e i t e r a t i o n ) 又分 为同义词和近义谓q ( s y n o n y m ，n e a r -
