Unit 7 Wheres my book? 一. Analysis of the teaching materialThis lesson is the first period of Unit 7, Book 2, Friends With English. Its a new lesson focusing on the words and sentence patterns. It plays an important part in the study of this unit. The topic is about the location of things. Its popular with the childrens life. The children are interested in this topic. This lesson includes two parts: Vocabulary and Target. The children learn the prepositions for the first time, so its a little difficult for them to use the patterns well. In order to make the children master the new words and sentences better, in this lesson the teacher will teach six new words and the singular form of the patterns “Wheres the/my?”The other two new words “socks , pants” and patterns “Where are the/my?” will be taught in the next period.二. Analysis of the students The pupils are in Grade 3. Theyre about 9 or 10 years old. Theyre always active, energetic and eager to show off themselves in front of the audience. Theyre full of curiosity. They show great interest in English and dare not make mistakes. They have learned English for about one year. They are very interested in English. They can use simple English. Before this lesson they have learned some words about furniture and stationery. They learn English mainly by imitating and thinking of image.
