8A Unit 3 A day outReading (2)-Ge Xiaoyu1. Textbook analysisThis is the reading part of Unit 3. It is a letter written by Linda. She tells her mother about her trip to the World Park. The letter mainly talks about when and how she went to the park, who she went with, what she saw inside the park and how she felt. It is an attractive and light topic. The second period mainly teaches language points in the text.2. How much do you know about the World Park?(warm up the class and review the places of interest learned in this unit and lead in the topic)Step 2 PresentationT: Linda went to the World Park. (show the picture of Lindas route) She met Kitty and her classmates at the school gate. They got on a coach and went through the city roads and the highway. Finally they arrived at the World Park. They saw many places of interest inside the park. Did she enjoy the trip at the beginning? How did she feel at the beginning? We can also say join in an activity. It means “take part in”.
