Show some pictures about students and parents who do housework at home. Then ask students what are the people doing in the pictures. Free talk. Talk about 2 questions :1.What do you often do to help your parents at home?2.Do you think kids should help out with chores at home? Step 2 Tell the objectives about this lesson and brainstorm.List some sentences to let students guess the phrases about housework.Step 3 Pre-reading Skimming1. The meaning of skimming. Skimming: read the passage quickly and get the main idea.意为“快速掠过,从中提取最容易取得的精华” It is still a good idea to read the first sentence in each paragraph a little more carefully.
