(For detaile

Lifeboats 救生艇Glass reinforced plastic lifeboats are rot-proof, fire-resistant, non-corrosive, an

12、d do not sweat. Glass reinforced plastic however has very poor resistance to abrasion. Every effort should be made to prevent gripes and lashings from scrubbing, and the heavier gear inside the boat should be chocked off and lashed down so that it cannot rub with the ships movement.救生艇是用加强的玻璃纤维制造，防腐

13、、防火、防锈和防汗水等。但玻璃纤维容易受到擦伤和磨损的伤害，应尽量避免加固的钢丝等对救生艇玻璃纤维的磨损，在艇内的重物应以加固，防止船舶航行时纵横摇对救生艇产生伤害。l Motor Lifeboats 机动救生艇The machinery of a motor lifeboat should be inspected fully at least once at each boat drill. The inspection includes the fuel tanks, their filling arrangement, running test, and gears etc. Othe

14、r accessories, such as fire extinguishers, engine dynamo, the searching-light and radio-battery etc.The boat engine should test WEEKLY, and a running operation when the lifeboat lowered onto water at least once every THREE months.机动救生艇机最少在每次操练时应进行全面检查，包括油箱、加油工作管路、齿轮传动装置、和机械运转试验等。其它部件，如灭火器、电源系统、搜救灯具和

The function of the gripes is to hold the boat firmly down in the chocks, or the shoulder chocks o

16、n the davits.救生艇加固(如有)设施须能从艇内解脱。其作用是使救生艇稳固的坐落在艇吊架上的座垫上。l Marking of Lifeboats 救生艇的标记The dimensions of the lifeboat and the number of persons, which is permitted to accommodate shall be clearly permanent marked. The name and port of registry shall be marked on each side of the lifeboats bow and top i

17、n block capitals of the Roman alphabet（it is recommended to use black colour letter）. The name of the ship and number of the lifeboat shall be marked and visible from above.救生艇的尺码和可载人数要在固定地点清晰的标示。船名和注册港名要用罗马大写字体标示在救生艇船头的两侧和顶部（建议使用黑色字体）。使能从上空也可清晰看到。2. Lifeboat Equipment救生艇的设备 The lifeboat equipments

19、boats shall be fitted with sufficient watertight lockers or compartments to provide for the storage of the items of equipment, water and provisions required.Watertight receptacles containing a total of 3 l of fresh water for each person the lifeboat is permitted to accommodate. A food ration of tota

20、ling not less than 10,000kj for each person the lifeboat is permitted to accommodate. Your attention is drawn to the condition and validity of the water and food ration. Compartment should be clean.每艘救生艇需配置足够的水密柜/容器供储藏所需的设备、水和粮食。 水密容器应可装足够给救生艇允许乘载人数每人三公升淡水的总量。粮食配备应足够给救生艇允许乘载人数每人不小于10,000焦耳的份量。所有容器要保

21、持清洁干净，水和粮食应保持良好的状况和有效期。l Lifeboat Compass救生艇罗盘An operational compass shall be equipped to each lifeboat. In case the compass is filled with anti-freeze liquid (usually distilled water 60% and industrial methylated spirit 40%) to dampen the effect of the motion of the boat. It should free from air bu

22、bble and unfavorable error and defects. 每艘救生艇应配置一个可操作的罗盘。如果该罗盘是充满液体来减轻由于艇摇对罗盘的影响，那么该液体应可抗凝固 (一般用60%蒸馏水和40%工业酒精)。罗盘应保持无气泡和误差在可接受范圉内和状态良好。 l First Aid Outfits救生艇急救药包First Aid Outfits should be examined to see that the seal （if available） on the container is intact and medicine is valid (Usually valid

23、for 3 years or specified date), the container itself is not rusted or damaged. 检查救生艇急救药包的封条是否完好（若有），药品是否有效 (通常救生艇药品从制造日三年内有效或注明日期)， 急救箱外壳是否完好无锈。l Pyrotechnic 求救讯号火箭Parachute signals and hand flares, orange smoke signals, man overboard signals and line throwing appliance etc. shall be renewed every t

24、hree (3) years from the date of manufacture or its indicated date of expiry. Special care should be taken regarding the disposal of the obsolete pyrotechnic signals. A number of serious accidents had been occurred in the past as a result of out-of-date pyrotechnic signals being used. It is advisable

25、 that on no account, neither should these signals be used for testing or practicing nor should they be landed for any purpose. They should be kept in a safe place on board ship until opportunity occurs for returning it to supplier.降落伞火箭、火焰信号、烟雾弹、人落水信号和拋绳设备等必须按出厂日期每三年或注明的过期日前予以更换。在处理过期的火箭弹药必须十分谨慎小心，过

27、riodic checking, to ensure that GMDSS system shall be in working condition.定期对GMDSS系统检查，并使处于良好使用状态。l Buoyant Heaving Lines悬浮拋绳索To preserve the buoyant qualities and to prevent deterioration, the lines should be stowed in as dry a place as possible in the lifeboat.可悬浮拋绳索要存放在干燥处防止霉坏。l Embarkation ladd

28、er救生艇登艇梯An embarkation ladder extending in a single length, from the deck to the waterline in the lightest seagoing condition under unfavorable condition of trim of up to 10 degrees and a list of up to 20 degrees either way shall be provided at each embarkation station.救生艇登乘点设置一登艇梯，其长度要求是从登乘艇甲板延伸至船舶

29、海上航行最轻载水线。并在船舶纵倾至10度和任何一舷横倾至20度的不利情况下，仍可登乘。The side ropes of the ladder shall consist of two uncovered manila ropes not less than 65 mm in circumference on each side. Each rope shall be continuous with no joints below the top step.梯的两边绳索应是2条圆周不小于65毫米、无包裹、每条应连续和从上梯级至下梯级无节头的马尼拉绳索。The ladder step shall

30、 be made of hardwood with an efficient non-slip surface, not less than 480 mm long, 115 mm wide and 25 mm in depth, and equally spaced not less than 300 mm or more than 380 mm apart and secured in such a manner that they will remain horizontal.登艇梯梯级板是用有防滑表面的硬木做成，长度不小于480毫米、宽度不小于115毫米、厚度不小于25毫米；级板间隔不

Lifeboat fittin

32、gs: 救生艇设施l Lifeboat Davits, Winches and Lowering Gear 救生艇支架、松绞设施The Chief Officer, Third Officer and responsible persons should inspect, during the boat drill, all parts of davit, including lowering/hoisting devices, gears, winches, blocks, wire falls, fair leads, tricing pendant and bowsing tackles

33、 (if fitted), to ensure all parts are in normal working condition. Lubricating and greasing to the parts are carried out as necessary, the emergency lighting and limit switch should be inspected and checked at the same time. Visual inspection and routine or partial maintenance work to various parts

35、nths and be renewed when necessary due to deterioration of the falls or at intervals of not more than FIVE years, whichever is the earlier. A copy of valid wire fall certificate shall be kept on board by the Master or Ch. Officer and readily for inspection.The Administration may accept in lieu of th

36、e “end for ending” required above, periodic inspection of the falls and their renewal whenever necessary due to deterioration or at intervals of not more than FOUR years, whichever one is earlier.The falls shall be periodic checked and greased during drill and ensure that the falls are in good worki

37、ng condition.吊艇钢丝索应在30个月内进行调头，若状况变坏必需给予更换，或在五年内予以更换，二者取其先者。船长或大副应保存一份有效的吊艇钢丝索证书备查。监督机构可以酌情接受定期检查和更换钢丝索的时间，若钢丝索的状况变坏立即更换或四年内更换吊艇钢丝的规定，以二者取其先者，以替代上面所述的吊艇钢丝索调头的要求。l Stowage and Security of Lifeboat Equipment 救生艇设备的储存和固定要求All items of lifeboat equipment shall be secured within the lifeboat by lashings,

38、storage in lockers or compartments. However, in the case of a lifeboat to be launched by falls, the boat hooks shall be kept free for fending-off purposes. The equipment shall be secured in such a manner as not to interfere with any abandonment procedures. 所有救生艇设备，除了已放入储物柜内和用作撑离船舶用的艇外，均应固定或绑好。这种绑扎及固

39、定方法，不应防碍救生艇的正常操作、登离艇和脱操作。l Manual pump救生艇手摇泵Manual pump should be tested to ensure that they are in good working condition.救生艇手摇泵应经常检查并使其处于良好状况。 l Steering Oars摇橹The steering oar, if fitted, is one foot longer than the other oars. The blade is painted white colour and different with other oars. It i

40、s stowed with the blade aft, whereas the other oars are stowed with the blades forward. 若救生艇配备有摇橹，橹比一般桨长一尺、桨叶漆上白油以资识别与其它桨不同。存放时摇橹桨叶向后，其它普通桨的桨叶则向前。l Crutches 浆叉The hole pins, crutches or equivalent arrangements shall be provided for each oar. They shall be attached to the boat by land-yards or chains

41、.每支桨应配有浆架，浆叉或相类似的装置。它们应用小炼条或绳索连接和固定于艇内。l Rudders and Tiller 舵与舵柄All lifeboats shall be provided with a rudder and tiller. When a wheel or other steering mechanism is also provided, the tiller shall be capable of controlling the rudder in case of failure of the steering mechanism. The rudder shall be

42、 permanently attached to the lifeboat. Or lifeboats which are not self-righting when capsized, shall have s

47、t least two Life Lines shall be fitted (if required) to the davit span of the lifeboats. They shall be fixed at least one foot away from the davit heads, so as not foul the top blocks and shall be long enough to reach the water line from the span when the ship is at her lightest sea going condition.

50、 kN and length not less than twice the height at which it stowed above the waterline in the lightest seagoing condition or 30 m, whichever is greater; the lifebuoy shall have a mass sufficient to operate the quick release arrangement. The thermal protective aid shall made of water proof materials and shall reduce both the convective and evaporative heat loss from the wearers body, and capable of being unpacked and easily donned without assistance in a survival craft or rescue
