3、f-improvement , The Old Man and the Sea Teaching and learning steps Step 1:Learn to read the words on P126-127.First students try to read the words using the phonetics by themselves and mark the difficult words.Then read the difficult words with their partners in groups.Next get some middle-level st
4、udents to read all the words and ask the good students to correct the wrong pronunciations. If necessary, the teacher corrects them.Read after the tape.At last students read aloud and the teacher walks around to offer pronunciation support as needed. Get some students to read again to see if everyon
5、e can read correctly. (设计意图:通过学生自读;组内互读互查;中等生读;跟磁带读,达到正确熟练朗读本单元生词。在今后的教学中要继续让学生试读单词,巩固和提高学生自学单词的能力,培养学生个人识读单词的良好学习习惯,同时也能培养学生自主、探究和合作学习的能力。首先学生自己根据音标识读单词,并标出识读时有困难的单词。接着两人一组或以小组为单位解决遇到的困难。然后找两三位同学读单词,让好学生先纠正,还有问题,教师再更正。最后让学生跟录音读。这样能培养学生自主学习和小组互助学习的能力,也能鼓励没过关的学生课前课后努力赶上。)Step 2 : Learn to remember wo

Do you want to

For example, I question students honesty.2合成词 :将两个或两个以上的单词合成在一起而构成的新词.self-improvement(自我提高): self(自我) + improvement(提高)schoolwork(学校作业) school(学校) + work(工作)3.派生即在词根上加前缀或后缀构成另一个与原意略有变化或截然相反的词。分为两类即后缀和前缀。education(教育): educate(教育)+ ionthemselves
11、(他们自己): them(他们) + selvesmeaning(意思): mean(意思是)+ingbeginning(开始): begin(开始)+ ningweekly(每周的):week(每周) +lypersonal(个人的):person(个人)+ alrelationship(不喜爱):relation(关系) + shipimprovement(提高):improve(提高) + mentengineer(工程师):engine(机械,机车)+er4.对比反义词 disagree-agree (设计意图:运用转换、合成、派生、对比等方法学习单词,能降低学生记单词的难度,也能使学
12、生举一反三,极大的扩充词汇量。)四、Guess the underlined words according to the context.1. When we make resolutions at the beginning of the year ,we hope that we are going to improve our lives. Some people write down their resolution and plans. 2There are different kinds of resolutions. Some are about physical health
13、. For example,some people promise themselves they are going to start an exercise program or eat less fast food. Many resolutions have to with self-improvement.3. Some people might say they are going to take up a hobby like painting or taking photos, or learn to play the guitar. (设计意图:我摘抄了Unit 6 三段重要
14、的句子,让学生结合下文猜测生词或不常见的单词的意思,这样能帮助学生理解细节及全文。也能培养学生在语境中推测词汇的能力。)五、Remember the phase by matching itself with its meaning1. at the beginning of 在.开始2.write down 写下3.be sure about 对.有把握 4.agree with 同意 5.take up 学着做;开始做 6.have to do with 关于,与.有关系(设计意图:通过重点短语对比,再英汉连线能使学生加深对短语的理解和记忆。)六Remember the words by
15、their Chinese.1.外国的_2.关系、联系 _3.改进、改善_4.决定、决心_5.身体的_6. 业余爱好_7.工程师_8.飞行员_9.药,医学_(设计意图:根据汉语意思记单词,便于学生英汉对照入座。适合中下等学生)Step 3: Consolidate the words and phrases 1. First give the students several minutes to try to memorize the words . 2. Then get the students to read the words by looking at the Chinese, t
16、hen look at the Chinese and say English.3. Next get students to work in pairs to spell the words or write down the words with the Chinese given in guide books. Underline the words they havent grasped.4. At last get the students to have a short dictation about the important words and phrases. If they
17、 cant, dictate after class in groups. (设计意图:此环节为巩固单词。通过朗读和使用助学默写来对单词加以巩固。这一环节有少部分的学生不能当堂达标,需要利用自习课或课余的时间让小组长跟踪检查,老师督促,达到人人过关。)Step 4 :Read the story and translate into Chinese。1. Ask the students to read the story, and underline the new words.2. Translate the story into Chinese in groups of threes.3

I have a good friend named Mary .Mary wants to be an engineer when she grows up.She always tries her best to learn schoolwork.She is going to Beijing University.She wrote down her resolution on the wall of her bedroom. She told her father of doctor about it.H
