Greys Anatomy Season 10x24 Fear (of the Unknown)Greys Anatomy Episode ScriptsSeason 1010x24: Fear (of the Unknown)Original Airdate: 5/8/2014Written by: William HarperDirected by: Tony PhelanWeather forecast: Todays forecast. Hey, mid 70s! Unseasonably warm and clear in the pacific northwest. Its gonna be a great day, Seattle! Cristina VO: He doesnt know that. Hes an idiot. It sounds like its a good day to get outside. For all he knows, it could be the worst day of his life.Owen: Why is that on?TV: Thanks, Len. Next upCristina: Oh! Um, I wanted to see the weather. I have to fly today.Owen: Youve been saying that for two weeks.Cristina: Well, only because Link McNeil kept getting close to getting a heart. I really wanted to see that through. I cant put off Zurich anymore. There is a staff meeting on Monday, and if Im not there, itll be a terrible first impression, and Ill lose control before I start. Owen: So-this is goodbye then? Cristina: Last night wasnt enough? Owen: No. No. Come on.Cristina: Owen, no, no. You made me late already.Owen: No. Meredith made you late. You were out drinking till 2:00 in the morning.Cristina: Well, cause that was our big goodbye. Oh, we are not having a big goodbye here. I-Im gonna be at the hospital later to check on my last conduit kid. We have a big goodbye here, and then Ill see you there, and Ill feel all-duh, bye, again. No, no, no, no, no. II-I got to go. I got to go.Cristina VO: You know how people say, who knows? I could get hit by a bus tomorrow? That seems pretty farfetched.Cristina: Oh, crap. Oh, crap! Oh, no! My phone is dead! Cristina VO: Until you have a friend who got hit by a bus.Cristina: And I need a european charger.Owen: CristinaCristina: Oh, no, now I have to go to the stupid mall! Ill see you later.Cristina VO: The point is, we never know what kind of day is coming.Derek: How is everybody? Meredith: Ah, so, Zozos in her room getting dressed, and this little guy just pooped, so theres that. How was your flight?Derek: Rough, but mwah! We have a place to live in D.C. We got the townhouse in foggy bottom.Meredith: We got it?!Derek: We close in a month. I just need you to sign the paperwork. What is today? Is today Tuesday?Meredith: Today is Thursday.Derek: Oh, good. Then Amys got my surgeries. I can sleep in all day.Meredith: Okay, but first, that guy has a foggy bottom, and I can take a look at these tonight.Derek: Hey, you want to look at the brochure again and remind yourself how much you love it? Jo: Hmm. Oh, its pretty! Alex: Its the freaking batmobile is what it is. Its either this or a boat. Everybody at the practice has a boat.Jo: Are you really a boat guy? Alex: How should I know? I never had a boat.Jo: Mm.Arizona: Ooh! Are you looking to buy a road-penis? Jo: Its that or a boat.Arizona: Oh, no, you dont seem like a boat guy. What are you here for?Alex: My first anoplasty.Arizona: Wow. Is Lebackes grooming you? Are you gonna be Dr. Junior Butthole?Jo: Oh, no! Thats what theyll call you.Alex: I wont hear them cause Ill be squealing away in this.Arizona: Congratulations, lil butthole.Alex: Thanks.Webber: Any thought on who will fill the three empty seats on the board? Jackson: Uh, its only one seat, actually. Shepherd and Grey will keep their seats. Theyll telecommute from D.C. for meetings. Yang says she wont have time. I think she just wants a clean break. So that just leaves her seat open.Bailey: Morning, gentlemen. Youll be happy to know that former bubble boy Braden Morris had his first follow-up with his pediatrician. He is healthy as a horse.Webber: Uh, I have a consult, if youll excuse me.Jackson: Ah, you can stay. You shouldBailey: Whats up? Jackson: Disappointing news, actually. The foundation cut our budget, so we are unable to continue funding your genome lab.Bailey: Oh, well, whos gonna fund it, then? Jackson: Were shutting it down actually. Its simply not producing the results that other projectsBailey: Did you not just hear what I said? I-I gave an immunodeficient child deactivated H.I.V. and saved him! Jackson: And almost got the hospital sued in the process. And almost lost your license and landed in jail. So is that really where you want to plant your flag? Bailey: Yes! And so should you! Hey, two years ago, I was wiping your butt and changing your diaper, and now you want to do this to me? N-no, no. I-I will not stand for it.Jackson: Its budgetary, and its done.Bailey: Wont stand for it! Shane: Hey, have you talked to Leah? Stephanie: Oh. Yeah. Shes still on her couch, still depressed, eating everything.Shane: Has she said what shes gonna do? Stephanie: Wont even talk about it catatonic.Shane: What are you doing?Stephanie: Just finished an aneurysm clip with Dr. Shepherd.Shane: Shepherd or Shepherdess? Stephanie: Shepherdess.Amy: Shepherdess? Really? Shane: Uh, sorry. Its just very confusing.Amy: I kind of like it Shepherdess.Stephanie: Oh, well, before, it was just Shepherds little sister. Amy: Edwards, do you like working on neuro? Dont ever say that to me again.Maggie: I e-mailed Dr. Yang twice about the conduit babies, and her only response was, not your problem. Im the head of cardio. Im her boss. And the way that she talks to me sometimesOwen: Look, Dr. Pierce, IMaggie: Maggie. Margaret. Maggie is fine.Owen: Dr. Yang will be coming in later today for a final checkup with her conduit baby before sheMaggie: And then shes leaving? For good? Owen: Yes, yes, she will be gone by the end of the day. Is that it? Maggie: Yes. I have a patient in pre-op.Owen: Its that way.Maggie: Im getting it.Owen: Mm-hmm.April: Chief.Owen: Mm-hmm? April: Can I talk to you?Owen: You are.April: Privately? Um, do you have a minute to go into, like, a trauma room?Owen: Spit it out, Kepner.April: Im pregnant. I know its sudden and its soon, and I know it makes your life hell, but I will work until it falls out of me. Kepners are built to have babies, sir. W-weve dropped them in fields.Owen: Kepner, Im happy for you. Im thrilled. Congratulations.April: Thank you. It was earlier than we thought, but my mom always says that if you wait for the perfect time to have a baby, then youll just die childless.TV: If youre just joining us-We have breaking newsOwen: Turn that up.TV: Of an enormous explosion. It happened only minutes ago at Seattles mall of the woods. We are getting reports of massive fatalitiesWoman: Oh, my gosh! Explosion!TV: And scores of people injured.Man: Oh, my gosh!TV: Officials have not yet determinedOwen: Page all available surgeons.April: Clear the E.R.Owen: Bring them to me.April: Discharge all patients who can be.Owen: Cancel all elective surgeries. AdmitsApril: Lets get them upstairs.Owen: I want a security lockdown on this floor.April: I want all available beds and gurneys down here.Owen: Call blood services. I want all the O-neg they have.April: The concern right nowTV: And what were all wondering is-is this an act of terrorism?Reporter: So its chemical?Owen: Im not saying that. Some patients are presenting with blisters and rashes, but the cause is not yet known. This could be nothing, but we are taking proper decontamination precautions. The main message here is that we are fully equipped to treat the injured. If youre coming to the hospital to look for a loved one, if, uh-if youve, uh-if youve lost someone, then please stay clear of the emergency entrance. Come straight to the main entrance. Thank you.Reporter: One more question!Ray: Chief Hunt?Owen: Hm? Ray: Ray Pelletier, homeland security. There are some patients we need to talk to. Follow me.Arizona: Okay, take this one to trauma four now.Owen: Kepner, how are we? April: Good. Weve taken in over 30 injured. More on the way. Triage areas are laid out reds here, yellows here, greens in the hallway.Owen: And upstairs? April: Weve started rotating O.R.s, one surgeon in each, with steady turnover.Owen: Okay. Talk to these men. Help them find who theyre looking for. And, Kepner, get a mask on.April: Oh, god. Yes, sir. Thank you. Thank you. This way, guys.Voicemail: Hi. Youve reached the phone of Dr. Cristina Yang. ImMeredith: O.R.s one through three are general. Were gonna need more. Neuros in four, and cardio is in five.Owen: Whos in the cardio O.R.? Jo: Pierce, the new cardio chief.Owen: Okay, you guys, uh, Kepner needs help with triage downstairs. Karev, you see Yang this morning? Alex: No. Wasnt she with you?Owen: Yeah, she said something about going to the mall.Alex: You got to be freaking kidding me.Owen: We dont worry until were sure we have something to worry about, but if you see her, you let me know, okay?Alex: Dont tell Mer!Owen: Yeah.April: Your airway looks good. This cut will need to be stitched up.Marilyn: And the blisters? What is this? April: We dont know yet, but were running some tests, okay? Man: I cant find him. I-I looked all over down here. I looked outside. I cant find him.April: Who? Marilyn: Leo, my boy. Our little boy he was with me. We were buying shoes whenApril: Marilyn, Im gonna give you some sedation. Just try to breathe, okay? What does Leo look like? Man: Hes 10. Brown hair. Its long. Its too long. He wont, uh, cut it. Brown eyes. He has braces.April: If hes here, well find him.Jackson: So, you said youre 31 weeks pregnant, Leanne? Leanne: Uh-huh.Jackson: Homestretch, huh? Im actually expecting a baby, too.Leanne: Is the baby gonna be all right? Callie: We have to do surgery on your arm, but if your baby goes into any distress, well need to do a C-section, okay, Leanne? Leanne: No, no, no, no, its too soon. Shes too little.Stephanie: No, your babys gonna be just fine.Leanne: Its not my baby.Jackson: Sorry. What? Leanne: Its someone elses baby. I-Im a surrogate. Can you please try to let it get to term? Its their baby.Callie: We will do what we can.Leanne: A-and theyre a super-nice couple, and they trust me, and itll kill them, and I really like them.Jackson: Leanne, were gonna take care of you now, okay? Dont worry.Amy: One, two, three! Lets get her to the ICU. Turn the room over. Lets go!Nurse: Right away, doctor.Amy: Next! When did you get here?Derek: As soon as I found out. Are you okay?Amy: Im fine.Derek: You want to switch out?Amy: No.Derek: You want to switch out? Amy: Derek, you want me to take over your service, Let me take over your service. Next patient, please.Derek: A 26-year-old left frontoparietal subdural hematoma. Burr holes not gonna do this, so what youre gonna need to doAmy: Ill see when I get in there.Catherine: Make a path, people! Coming through! Webber: I got it.What are you doing here?Catherine: Isnt it obvious? Actually, I came to visit my son. Apparently, Im going to be a grandmother.Webber: Mm.Owen: Webber, we need to open another O.R. Can you go up to six? Ill start throwing patients at you.Webber: Uh, on my way.Ray: Its a weekday, right? Shouldnt you be in class? What were you doing at the mall? Mike: Wheres Nicky? Wheres my friend? Ray: Nickys gone, Mike. Its just me and you. Now, you want to talk to me? What was in your friends backpack? Mike! Meredith: His eardrums are ruptured. He may not be able to hear you.Ray: Okay, hes coming with me. Get his clothes.Meredith: You cant take him anywhere. We have to watch him.Ray: You said he isnt badly injured, right? Meredith: What I said was, so far, his work-up has been negative, but internal-blast injuries take a whileRay: Okay, so, youre saying he was likely very close to the blast?Meredith: No, what Im saying isRay: Right next to it? Was he-was he running. Meredith: We need some help in here! Nurse: You got it, doctor. Man: Okay.Meredith: Hes tachycardic. Abdomens rigid. We got to get him to the O.R. right away.Ray: Maam, we dont know if this is over yet. If he dies on your table before I question him, we have nothing left.Meredith: And if he isnt the guy, you have a dead civilian on your hands whose care you obstructed. Move!Ray: Maam, please! Meredith: Its doctor. Youre the boss out there. Im the boss in here. Get out of my way.Ray: Let em by.Nicole: I need some help here! Now! Alex: What happened? Nicole: He was walking and talking, and he just went down. His airway is clear. No breath sounds. I cant feel a pulse.Alex: Get a crash cart, chest tube, and chest tray now. How longs he been down? Nicole: Almost a minute.Alex: Crap. Has he been sprayed down?Nicole: No, sir!Alex: Spray him down now! Nicole: Im on it! Alex: Everywhere! Get him everywhere! Thats it. Hold it. Hold it. Stop. Damn it. Damn it. I need that chest tray! Get me a chest tray now! Cristina: Got it. Here. Here.Alex: Oh, my god. Thank god youre here.Cristina: Of course Im here.Alex: Hunt said you went to the mall.Cristina: No, I didnt have time. I was-What are we doing?Alex: Sudden loss of vitals with penetrating injury to the chest.Cristina: Youre gonna have to open him up.Alex: Shouldnt you do it? Cristina: No, youre there. You got it. Go for it. Oh, my god.Alex: What? Cristina: I was gonna go to the mall.Alana: Diane, officials are seeking to question these men seen entering the mall minutes before the explosion occurred. Diane: Of course, the biggest question is, could there be more attacks on the way? Alana: Thats right. I-in fact, some people are wondering if this could be a terrorist strategy to send victims to the hospital and then target the hospital itself.Diane: Alana, should you even be there? Alana: I know, right? Its an intensely dangerous situation.Woman: What did she just say?April: Turn that TV off! Leah: No, no, I did work here like two weeks ago.April: No, shes okay. Let her through.Leah: What can I do? April: Uh, yellows, reds, and greens in the hallway. Assess and treat what you can.Leah: Okay, but I dont-I-I dont have privileges. I cant operateApril: Whatever needs to be done, do it. And if you see a 10-year-old boy with brown hair, brown eyes, and braces, come find me.Doctor 1: Lets go! Lets go! Doctor 2: Coming through! Doctor 1: Lets go! Bailey: Next! Him? Meredith: Hes got peritonitis, probably from a perf in the bowel. Head C.T. shows a probable TBI. I called neuro for a consult.Bailey: Okay.Meredith: Okay, oh, Bailey, DHS wants to speak with him. Hes a possible suspect. So, uh, you page me when you finish.Bailey: Got it.Calie: Transradial amputation below the elbow, at least. Why would they hit a shopping mall? Theres nothing there.Stephanie: Except people regular people.Jackson: They want to scare us. Its the scariest thing we can think of.Callie: Has that rash shown up on any of our doctors yet? Jackson: Not yet, which is good. It means it might not be airborne.Stephanie: The news said they might be targeting hospitals now.Callie: Oh, Edwards, shut your mouth, please.Stephanie: Im just saying. Whoa! Oh! Oh, did her water just break? The babys in distress. Late decels on the fetal heart monitor.Jackson: We need O.B. down here, stat! Callie: And page Dr. Robbins. Tell her we might be delivering a premie in here.Nurse: On it.Meredith: What are you doing here? I thought you had a big meeting.Cristina: They blew up Seattle, Mer. I cant leave.Meredith: You should. No one has a beef with Switzerland. So, were going to D.C. Um, we sign papers on the townhouse tonight. Its nice. Its gonna be good. What are you doing? Cristina: Im happy for you. People do this.Meredith: Are you? Happy for me?Cristina: I got to go to the O.R. Alex gave a kid an emergency thoracotomy.Shane: Watch my finger.Man: I cant see out of it. Is it gone? Shane: No, no, its definitely there.Leah: Its orbital compartment syndrome. Glove me.Shane: Hey. Are you okay? Leah: You have a little blood behind your eye, and Im gonna release that. This is gonna sting a little. Okay. Now look at his finger.Man: Okay.Leah: Okay. Now open for me.Man: Im starting to see something. I can see. Thank you! Thank you so much.Leah: You got it.Alex: Ross! I need you in the O.R.! Leah: Hey! Does that kid have braces? Arizona: Hey, hey, listen. Yang, I just got a call from UNOS. Theyve been trying to reach you.Cristina: Oh, my phone is dead.Arizona: A hearts become available thats a match for Link McNeil.Cristina: Now? Arizona: We tell them to do it at Seattle Pres, right, - because theres noCristina: No, no, no, send it here. No, I-I-I got to do it here. Tell the McNeils to come.Diane: Center of the crisis at Grey-Sloan memorial. Byron, what can you tell us? What have you learned at the hospital? Byron: Right, Diane, theres concern now that the skin reactions on patients were hearing about could possibly be caused by radiation from a so-called dirty bomb.Owen: Damn it.Byron: And the fear is it might not be as easily treatable as an attack from chemicals, as we previously thought, but the fact isOwen: The fact is, you dont know.Byron: Oh, uh, heres the chief of surgery.Owen: You are lying to them now. You are saying anthrax. You are saying radiation. Nobody else is. The fact is we dont know how bad this is, okay? So stop wondering out loud, report what you know, and stop scaring people for no reason. What I mean, who let you in here?! Get out. Stop. Turn off the camera.Diane: Well, we seem to have lost Byron there. Tensions seem to be running pretty high, as one would expect in such a dangerous situation. Stay with us for complete coverage. We will be right back.Arizona: Im ready. Wheres the O.B.? Jackson: Uh, no show, but I prepped her for them.Stephanie: Decels are really frequent. You need to get that baby out of there now.Arizona: Well, where the hells the O.B.?Stephanie: The babys down to 60 beats per minute.Arizona: All right, Avery, youre gonna help me.Stephanie: 50 beats and sustained.Arizona: I need a 10 blade. Okay, hang on, sweetie. Lets get you out of there.Shane: Shell want a stapler.Cristina: Weve isolated the hilum stapler. How are you gonna cope with it?Alex: With what?Cristina: The boredom. Making buttholes will be your whole career. How will you not stick your head in the oven? Alex: Screw you. Ill cry about it on my boat.Shane: Get a reload ready.Cristina: Yeah, right, you just saw a kid, knew he had a hemothorax, reached in, and fixed it. You know, youre never gonna do that again. Saving kids with ping-pong balls or making an end stoma with an appendix stapler.Alex: How did you even know I did that? Cristina: You think I wasnt paying attention to you proving me wrong? I mean, I thought you were competent-Well, no. When you got here, I thought you were an imbecile, but you got competent, like a decent handyman. But eventually, I had to accept that you were good, good hands, and you think fast, act faster. I mean, youll never be as good as me, but youre very, very good. Okay, lets, uh, get ready for the leak test. Irrigation? Thank you, Shane. And youre putting all that talent in a drawer. So maybe you are an imbecile. Oh, god, what a relief. Im still right.Maggie: Dr. Yang, did you schedule a pediatric heart transplant to come here today? Cristina: Oh, hey, yes. Uh, good. Are the McNeils here? Maggie: Why? Why would you think that we could doCristina: Dont worry about it. Hes not your problem.Maggie: It is my department, and Ill decide what should be sent out to other hospCristina: Im a little busy here, so can you just tell me where I can do the transplant? Maggie: Ive just finished in O.R.three. You can do your transplant in there.Cristina: Great! Uh, can you, uh, see if Link McNeil is here yet and, um, prep him for me? Thank you.Alex: Im gonna miss you. Seriously, though. Link McNeil today? Cristina: I just need something to feel finished. Shane can close for me.Shane: Mm-hmm.Alex: Are you sure you want him to close this kid? Cristina: I taught Shane how to close. There wont even be a scar, will there, Shane? Shane: Nope.Cristina: Mnh-mnh. Suction.Arizona: Avery, Im cutting the uterus, so pull up on those clamps.Jackson: Got it.Arizona: Okay, now reach in here and pull away from me. You got to-you got to pull harder. Tug it, Avery! Okay, yeah. There. There. Oh. Oh. Okay. All right, I got it. Clamp and cut the cord.Jackson: Okay.Arizona: All right, you got her.Jackson: Okay. Youre okay. Okay. All right. Youre okay. I got you. I got you.Ray: How long till we can have him? Meredith: I have to get him to recovery to make sure hes okay.Ray: Doctor, I dont think you understand the nature of whats happening here! Meredith: Do you want him healthy enough to answer your questions? Ray: Yeah. Right. Thank you for your time.Meredith: Wait. What just happened? Ray: Situations changed. Hes no longer a subject of interest. Thats all I can tell you.Meredith: But what about him? Dont you think you owe him an apology? Ray: Doctor, you have a very tough job keeping people alive. I do, too.April: Dry-cleaning fluid?Owen: The CDC report says thats whats causing the patients blisters. There was a big dry cleaner at the mall. Victims were laying in puddles of the stuff. Prolonged skin exposure can cause rashes.April: So it wasnt a chemical attack? It was just a bomb? Ben: Dr. Hunt, youll want to see this.TV: And we will be bringing you more information as it becomes available. We repeat now investigators have determined at this hour that the mall of the woods blast was caused by a gas-main explosion. Officials say they found no evidence of foul play and that fears of a terrorist threat were unfounded.April: Thank you, Jesus.TV: Seattle power officials say the gas main ran directlyBen: Yep. Second that.TV: Under the malls east endApril: All right, chief, whats next? How does this change what were doing? Owen: It changes nothing, Kepner. There was still an explosion. The wounded are still wounded, and people are still lost.Leah: Hey. I think I found your brown-haired kid. Ross and Karev were taking him into surgery, and hes just on his way out.April: Oh, thank god. I-I need to go tell his parents.Owen: Go.Sabine: Dr. Hunt.Owen: Sabine, what are you doing here? Sabine: Uh, they told us theres a heart for Link.Owen: Today? They told you to come here? Sabine: I know, but Dr. Yang told us to come right over.Owen: You spoke to her? You spoke to Dr. Yang? Sabine: Yes. She told us to come. S-should we go somewhere else? I know that theres so many people here that need help.Owen: No, no, no, no. Uh, Link is gonna be fine. Everyones gonna be fine. Come with me. Ill help you find her.Ben: Dr. Hunt! We need you here, stat! They dug her out. Coded twice in the field. Penetrating trauma to the abdomen.Owen: Okay, we need take her straight up. Lets call ahead, and lets clear an O.R. Oh, um, take Mrs. McNeil. Help her find Dr. Yang. And, Murphy? Thank you for coming in.April: Hes still intubated. Hes had his left lung removed, but Dr. Yang says hell recover just fine.Man: Thats-thats not him. Thats-thats not our son.Catherine: Four by fours. Four by fours. April, where do you keep the four by fours? April: Oh, hi. Youre here. Hi.Catherine: Whats wrong?April: It was a shopping mall.Catherine: Didnt you hear? It wasnt terrorists.April: But thats what we thought. We live in a world where that is the first thought that crosses our minds. I dont think I can do it. I dont think I can raise a child in a world where they could die going to buy new shoes.Catherine: I remember when I was 10 years old, sitting in a restaurant with my father, getting waffles. I loved waffles. I didnt like eggs still dont. This was 1960, in Texas, in a town so small it probably has forgotten its own name by now. And I remember some ignorant young men telling us to leave, dumping my fathers food in his lap, throwing hot coffee on him. Was I scared? Yes. I begged him to take me out of there. Do you know what he said to me? What? Not until after you finish your eggs, young lady. April: What-what did they do? What happened? Catherine: Nothing. They went on to bother somebody else. He wasnt afraid, so they didnt have any power. April, theres always gonna be stupid people. Theres always gonna be accidents. But thats not what defeats you. Its the fear. Now, if you had told me on that day in 1960 that I would have the job that I have today, the child that I have, I would have laughed till I cried. It seemed beyond impossible. But this is the way the world changes, sweetheart. Good people raising their babies right. Now, come on. Where are the four by fours? We got things to do.April: Okay.Catherine: We got work to do! Cristina: Did more come in? Meredith: No, its slowing down. What are you still doing here? What time is your flight? Cristina: I cant leave, Meredith. They just bombed Seattle.Meredith: No, they didnt. No one did. It was an accident gas main. So, no different than a train derailment or a ferry-boat crash, so you can go.Cristina: When I heard it was the mall, you know what I thought of? I thought about the time that Callie and I played hookey and we bought all the furniture for the firehouse.Meredith: What time is your plane? Cristina: Two hours. But Link McNeil has got a heart, and I have to do that first.Meredith: No, the new head of cardio can do that. You dont have the time. Plus, youll have to re-scrub.Cristina: WhatMeredith: So theres that.Cristina: Meredith! Meredith: You have been stalling for two weeks.Cristina: You know what? I have to-I have to finish something here. Nothing feels finished. None of it feels finished. Owen and I-We split over something that hasnt even happened. And we never even split up. And y-You and I are not finished. George is dead, and Izzie is gone, and it is supposed to be you and me and Alex. And now nothing is finished. I am not finished.Meredith: You dont feel finished because this isnt the end for you. There is no finish line. There is no end point. You just have to go.Cristina: I know. I know. I know, a-and Im and I keep trying to, but I dont know how to just do it. You got to help me, Mer.Ruth: Dr. Yang, the donor heart was delayed in traffic.Cristina: How long?Ruth: Cant say.Meredith: Lets go. Okay?Cristina: Okay.Cristina: Derek. Goodbye.Derek: Goodbye.Shane: Any more come in? Leah: Not for a while.Shane: Its not fair. Webber was wrong. Maybe you just need toLeah: Really, Shane? I hung on his every word all year. All of us did. Hes the greatest teacher I have ever had, so maybe if it were someone else saying this, I wouldnt believe them, but Webber? I got to find what Im good at. And I will.Shane: You will. Good luck. Leah: Oh, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, everythings okay.Woman: What happened? Leah: There was an explosion. But its over, and youre fine, okay? Youre gonna be just fine. The patient in bed four is awake.Nurse: Thank you.Bailey: I would have thought, you know, now that youre minister of education or whatever that you could tell the stupid boardWebber: I dont control the budget, Bailey.Bailey: W-well, did you at least fight for me to keep my lab? Webber: No, I did not. Now, when it came time this morning to decide who would staff the O.R.s, who had the stamina and the talent to run patient after patient, it was a no-brainer. I mean, some people belong behind a microscope, but you dont. You are a surgeon, Bailey. It is what I trained you to be. And anything else would be a waste of your time. And before you continue trashing the board, you ought to know that Yang is leaving a seat open, and Im recommending you, which the board will agree is also a no-brainer.Bailey: Oh. W-well, thatsCristina: Dr. Bailey, um, Dr. Webber, I-I just wanted to sMeredith: She doesnt have time for long goodbyes. She has a plane to catch.Cristina: No, MerWebber: Well, you should go, then.Bailey: Yeah, dont stand around here talking. Go, be a surgeon. Thats what we trained you for.Shane: Can I come with you?Meredith: Shane, not now.Shane: Im not kidding. Take me to Switzerland. I can help you. Webber: Youre in the middle of your residency.Shane: And my teacher is leaving, the one I want to learn from, to go do the work I want to be a part of. I want to be in charge of my education, and I choose you. You can say no, but I will badger you until you say yes.Cristina: Yes.Shane: I quit. Respectfully. And thank you for everything. Really.Webber: Yes! Bailey: Want to grab anything else on the way out? C.T. machine? What-oh!Cristina: Thank you.Webber: Proud of you. Go.Meredith: Okay, now. Come on. Lets go. We have to go.Cristina: Wait. Wait. Wait here.Meredith: Cristina, we got to go! Ugh.Owen: Lap pads, more suction. Get in there, Warren.Ben: I know.Owen: Clamp it and make it pretty later. Wheres this bleeding coming from? Get underneath for me. Clamp. Good. Clamp. Okay. Thats good. Go ahead.Meredith: Lets go now, or you never will.Cristina: Wait. You-you already called me a cab?
