Greys Anatomy Season 8 20 The Girl with No NameGreys Anatomy Episode ScriptsSeason 88x20: The Girl with No NameOriginal Airdate: 4/19/2012Written by: Peter NowalkDirected by: Ron UnderwoodMeredith VO: When youre a kid, you always want things to stay the same. The same teacher, same house, same friends. Being a surgeon is no different. You get used to the same attendings, same scrub nurses, same hospital.Meredith: Hey, Cristina.Meredith VO: Of course, that all changes the minute fifth year comes around.Meredith: Cristina! Cristina: Grey, hey! Meredith VO: And you have to find a new job.Meredith: Uh, how was Dallas? Cristina: Ugh. Bad. I can operate circles around the head of the program. Im sick of all this schlepping. From now on, theyre gonna have to come to me. How was yours? Boston, right? Meredith: Uh, San Francisco. Im supposed to leave for Boston tonight, but I think Im gonna cancel.Cristina: What? Only an idiot cancels the Brigham. And didnt Bailey set that up for you? No. Unh-unh. Shes gonna kill you.Meredith: How cute is she? Derek: Hi! Hey, do you need a ride, or-is Owen, umCristina: Picking me up? No.Derek: So howd it go? Meredith: It was great. Hi, baby girl. Oh, my love. Derek: Look whos here. Mama. She missed you.Cristina: Uh, your idiot wife wants to cancel her interview at the Brigham.Meredith: Hi. Hi, baby girl.Derek: No. You dont cancel an interview with the best general surgery program in the country.Cristina: Uh-huh. What I said.Meredith: Why would we move? Youve almost finished the house, and you have a job here.Derek: There are other homes and jobs in Boston. Youre going. End of discussion.Cristina: Good husband. Okay, lets go. I will ride in the back with my girl.Derek: Ill get the bags. Webber: Here we go. I snagged the last croissant, and I only had to elbow one orderly out of the way to get it.Adele: I got a secret.Webber: Oh, really? Adele: If I tell you, you cant tell anybody. You promise?Webber: I promise.Adele: Im in love.Webber: Okay. With, uh-with whom? April: Oh, this is getting ridiculous.Jackson: The N.I.H.? Since when does the N.I.H. bribe residents to come work for them? Cristina: Oh, they dont, except when youre me-a god. Hey.Alex: Cookies stale.Cristina: Aw, Karev. Is this hard for you, having to beg for interviews while some of us just sit back and get wooed? Alex: No one is begging.April: Oh, yeah, maybe you should. Maybe that way, youd actually get an interview.Cristina: Ha! I love mean Kepner.Alex: I got an interview.April: Oh, really, where? Alex: At-places.April: Uh-huh.Alex: Whatever! Look, this sucks, okay. I mean, we got boards in a couple of weeks and-and now they want us to go on freaking job interviews? Theres only so much crap a guy can have thrown at him before he snaps.Owen: Theres a trauma coming in on the roof. Kepner, Karev, come with me.April: I gotta leave for my northwestern interview in an hour. I told you yesterday.Owen: Um, Avery? Jackson: Sloans got me all day, chief. Sorry.Meredith: Im free.Owen: Great. Thank you.Paramedic: Female hiker found at the bottom of a ravine. Positive L.O.C. with obvious head and abdominal trauma, hypothermia, frostbite, you name it.Owen: Lets go.Alex: Airway looks clear.Owen: Weakened pulse.Meredith: Im Dr. Grey. Youre in the hospital. Can you tell us your name? Okay, okay. Lets go.Owen: Lets go. Outta the way.Meredith: Okay, Im gonna be right on the other side of that glass. You just try to stay calm. You werent hiking out there, were you? Owen: Whats the holdup, Grey? Meredith: Im staying in. Get me an apron.Nurse: Okay. Here you go.Meredith: Okay, Im gonna stay with you. Im not leaving. Ill be right here the whole time.Callie: Displaced tibial fracture. Teddy: Rib fractures, too. Lungs look fine. How far did she fall? Alex: Ah, dont know. Some hikers found her.Arizona: What is it, Karev? Alex: Uh, Jane Doe, looks to be around 15 years old. Hunt wants you to take a look at her. Hey, any word back on my interviews? Arizona: Uh, yeah, Im working on it.Callie: The angles off on this elbow.Alex: Youve been working on it for a couple of weeks now.Arizona: Well, youre an acquired taste, like blue cheese. Some people love it and some people cant stand to be in the same room with it. They think its stinky.Alex: So now Im stinky cheese?Arizona: Uh, you can tell Hunt this isnt a peds case. Shes an adult. The growth plates have closed.Callie: And tell him this elbow was broken a while ago. See the curve in her forearm and the periosteal reaction on her humerus? These are fractures that never healed right.Teddy: Or were never treated. Ive seen injuries like this in Iraq. In patients who were tortured.Alex: She was abused. Its all over the X-rays.Meredith: Okay, we have to call the police.Owen: Just stay calm. We dont know anything for sure until she talks.Derek: Hunt, she has a temporal bone fracture. Im gonna have to do a middle fossa approach.Bailey: Okay, theres an aneurysm in her celiac artery. Ill need to put a graft in.Anesthesiologist: Shes ready to be put under, chief.Meredith: Wait. You were running from someone, right? Is that how you fell? No ones gonna hurt you. We just need to know your name.Holly: He-he called me Susan. But I-I think its Holly. April: Beneath the purple tab youll find case studies from the past year. Under the yellow tab, a list of programs instituted during my tenure as chief resident. Under the green tabMitchell: Dr. Kepners cheerful demeanor and pleasant beside manner made my recovery period a true pleasure. April: Letters from former patients.Mitchell: This ones-five pages.April: Just one of many satisfied customers. Okay, moving on to the blue tab Awards and accolades.Lexie: Yes, her name was Holly Wheeler.Derek: We dont know anything yet. Lets not jump to conclusions.Lexie: It was all over the news. She was in the grocery store with her mom, and somebody just-took her. It was the summer of-2000.Alex: So this could be her. I mean, what, she was probably8 or 9 at that time? Bailey: She was 6, and they werent in the supermarket, they were outside. Her mom bumped into a friend, started talking about the block party they were having that weekend. Uh, could she bring a salad? They had enough dessert already. I mean, thats how long it took for her to realize that her child wasnt there anymore. Mm. That story runs through my head every time Tuck walks out the door. And-and yeah, we dont know if this is her, so please lets just stop talking about it and operate.Owen: Bailey, Shepherd, can you stop for a moment? Derek: What is it? Meredith: The police want us to check for a birthmark under her arm. The other side, further up.Deliver: Delivery for Dr. Yang.Nurse: Thank you. Thats not for you.Teddy: Call a cop. Theres one over there.Cristina: Whos on my jock now? Teddy: Cleveland clinic. Pretty impressive. Im not gonna grovel. You know were as good a program as Cleveland clinic. And weve got a major stem cell project, one that I welcome your input on. And as far as teachers, Im a catch. And Im groveling.Cristina: Its sweet.Teddy: Ugh. Come on. Lets go.Derek: Okay. Can you wiggle your toes? Painful? Yeah. You hit your head pretty hard when you fell. But youre doing great, okay? Fincher: Holly, Im Dr. Fincher. Im a therapist who works for the hospital. Is it okay if the police ask you a few questions? Only if you feel up to it.Policeman: Do you know his name, Holly the man that was keeping you? Meredith: Its okay.Holly: Joseph. Joseph Ingles.Policeman: Thats great. Really helpful. Now can you tell us anything about where you were living? Was it a house, an apartment? Holly: It was a house. One story. It has a basement.Policeman: Do you know if there was any roads nearby? Could you hear cars? Holly: He didnt let me go outside.Fincher: Holly, we can stop if you need to. Just let us know.Meredith: Okay, then. Maybe we should-we should take a break.Policeman: Sure.Fincher: You shouldve called me the minute you talked to the police.Owen: She had major brain and abdominal injuries. My first concern was keeping her alive.Fincher: I understand, but the protocol is to call psych right away. You didnt, and now our patient has bonded with a surgeon.Derek: Her name is Dr. Grey.Fincher: Dr. Grey. Fine. Thats who Holly has chosen. Theres no breaking that bond now.Meredith: Whats going on? Owen: Dr. Fincher thinks that its best that you stay with Holly, at least until her parents arrive.Meredith: I have no psych training.Fincher: Holly spent the last 12 years with little to no control over anything in her life. Our job is to break that pattern by letting her know that she and she alone is in control here. Whatever she wants, she gets, including you. Well have to work together on this.Meredith: Okay.Fincher: Thank you. If youll excuse me, the familys waiting for my call.Meredith: What was I supposed to say, Im flattered that she likes me, but I have a really important job interview?Derek: I just wanted to ask you, did you need me to reschedule your flight? Meredith: Yes, I can take the last flight out tonight and get a cab from here.Derek: Okay. Hang in there.Owen: Yeah.Webber: Tough case.Owen: Mm-hmm.Webber: Youre doing a good job.Owen: Except that Im not. Her parents are on their way, and the press are filling up the parking lot. I think I might be out of my depth here.Webber: Ill deal with the parents.Owen: You call Phil in security and have him double the guard presence, then call Heather in P.R. and tell her to wrangle the press. You go home, make sure all your suits are clean. Youll need them for the press conferences. Youll be okay, Hunt.Cristina: What is she like? Did she speak English? Or is it like that Jodie-Foster- in-the-woods movie? Meredith: English, although shes not really speaking. She was just flipping through the channels. Im guessing the TV reception in the basement wasnt that great.Cristina: Are you trying to get out of your interview? Meredith: The parents are on their way. Im going. I want to.Cristina: Really? Cause it seems like you want to stay and raise happy cutie babies with your happy cutie husband. Why are you so fine with leaving? Cristina: Because Im a surgeon, and I want to work at the best hospital with the best people, as should you. Since when did you turn into such a sap? Alex: What do you guys know about Carson Methodist? Cristina: Nothing. Id like to keep it that way.Alex: Its in Toledo. Or an hour outside, I guess. I interview next week.Cristina: Wheres Toledo? Meredith: Canada.Alex: Ohio. A quarter of a million people live there.Cristina: But this is an hour outside.Alex: Robbins set it up for me. I-I cant not go.Cristina: Ive enjoyed our time together these past few years.Alex: What are you doing? Cristina: We are officially on different career paths. Its only polite to say good-bye.Kathleen: Oh, my god. Holly? Its her. Its her. Id know you anywhere. You are still my perfect baby girl. Holly, I know its soon, but-I would like to hug you. Would that be okay? Oh. Oh, my baby girl. My baby girl. Baby girl.Doctor: Were a new program, so youre on the verge of something great here. Youre lucky youre getting in now.Alex: Really? Doctor: Oh, yeah. Were even about to upgrade our NICU. Just waiting on the final round of funding. In fact, thats why we were so excited to get Dr. Robbins call. She told us all about that money you raised for those African kids. Melinda, these are the discharge papers for the liver transplant boy. Could you prep them for transport?Alex: Youre discharging a liver transplant? Doctor: Were not equipped to deal with cases that serious yet. So were shipping him to our sister hospital in Toledo. You hungry? Its make-your-own-sundae day at the cafeteria. Youre gonna love it.Cristina: Ohh. Oh! Owen: Oh, hey.Cristina: Whoa.Owen: Sorry. Cristina: Uh, uh, I thought you were-I thought you were the kidnapper.Owen: No, no, I you hear they caught him last night? Cristina: Uh, yeah.Owen: Thats why Im here, actually. I needed more suits. You know, for the press conferences. I-I thought you were studying at Merediths.Cristina: Well, I came home to take a shower.Owen: Oh. Well, Ill-clear up and Ill get out of your here.Cristina: You know, just leave it. Stay here.Owen: Oh, no, no, no, ICristina: No, Im staying at Merediths until the boards. Im never here. So just stay.Owen: You sure? Cristina: Until the boards are over.Owen: Okay. Ill, um-Ill go now. Give you some privacy.Meredith: This is, I think, your first day of school. 6th birthday. Looks like thats where the bunny came from. So today Dr. Torres will be realigning your arm. Youll have a lot more mobility in your elbows.Holly: Did they really think that this would work? Give me some photo albums and a stuffed animal, and wed be normal again? Meredith: No, I think that they are just trying to help you remember because you were only 6.Holly: Well, then tell them that I remember all of it, the first day of school and my 6th birthday. Just like I remember the first time he made me take my clothes off and how hard he kicked me when I didnt act like I liked it or how his breath smelled like cigarettes, how I couldve gotten away a bunch of times, but every time I made it outside, I could hear his voice inside my head that they didnt want me, that I was dead to them, and that the only reason I finally ran away was because he told me that he was gonna take another girl because I was too old and used up and disgusting now. Tell them that.Callie: We will then repair, uh, numerous fractures that never healed properly, uh, the first time. The patient is in good spirits, and were grateful for the chance to allow her to heal in a way that wasnt positivepausible-possible before. We hopeOwen: Uh, thank you, Dr. Torres.Reporter 1: Excuse me! What about herReporter 2: How does Holly feel about Joseph being captured? Reporter 3: And her parents when can we talk to them? Owen: Look, Im sure the Wheelers would appreciate some privacyReporter 4: Is it true Hollys refusing to speak to them? Reporters: Where are her parents? Owen: Its a very complicated situation.Frank: Its not complicated. Its not complicated at all.Kathleen: Frank.Frank: The guys a monster who stole our kid for 12 years, and were the ones who are allowed to see her for only one supervised hour a day.Webber: Hollys in a fragile state. Shell need all of us to abide by her wishes, even if that means giving her space.Frank: She was brainwashed by him. She doesnt know what she wants.Fincher: Possibly. But she still has feelings of blame and resentment that she has to process. Right now youre still strangers to her.Frank: Cause you wont let us go in there and be her parents! Kathleen: Did you show her the photo album? Did she remember? Frank: Not even the bunny? She loved that thing.Meredith: She didnt remember. Im sorry.Webber: Shell come back to you. It might take some time, but the memories are still there. You just have to be patient.April: Oh, hey, chief. Um, I havent heard back yet from Northwestern, and I know youre close with Dr. Mitchell. Have you, uh, have you spoken to him? Owen: Uh, yes, he said your resume was impressive.April: Oh, thank goodness.Owen: Keep your options open, though.April: What do you mean? Owen: He said he thought I was impressive. He also said he wasnt sure if it was a match personality-wise.April: Personality? Im-Im asking for a job, not a date to the prom.Owen: Damn reporters.April: WOwen: Sorry. Hello.Loudspeaker: Dr. Llewellyn to O.R.2. Dr. Llewellyn to O.R.2.Meredith: Ugh.Callie: Chisel, please. Man, look at all this callus formation. He wouldve had to break this arm three or four times to get this amount of scar tissue. And the humerus is pretty strong, even in a young kid. Kinda makes you sick just thinking about the amount of-force it took to break itBailey: Can we talk about something else? I mean, you know, who knows what they hear subconsciously? So it-maybe it wouldnt hurt to come up with a conversation about something other than every parents worst nightmare.Mark: Avery scored an interview at U.C.L.A.Jackson: That is not what she meant.Bailey: No, that-thats good. Lets hear about that.Mark: Well, its a top-10 program, which is impressive. Of course, its just as much a reflection on me as a teacher as it is his surgical skill.Jackson: Okay.Meredith: Hey. How was Canada? Alex: Ugh. Canada wouldve been better than that dump.Cristina: You want me to call the chief at Duke? He wants me so bad, hell do anything I tell him, even accept you.Callie: Drill, please.Alex: Whats Hunt gonna do anyway if you leave? Oh, thats right. You say Duke, and hes on the next plane. Guys so whipped.Meredith: Shes not going to Duke, and neither are you. This is a great program, and wed be crazy to leave.Cristina: Thats because you want to play shrink to your patient for the rest of your life.Meredith: She imprinted on me. What am I supposed to do? Alex: Hows she doing anyway? Meredith: Great. I mean, better. I found two granola bars under her bed this morning. But at least she didnt lie about where they came from. Fincher says shes talking more in therapy, although shes not talking to Frank and Kathleen. She was being kept 5 miles away from their house, and they didnt find her. You dont just get over something like that.Cristina: Maybe she could move in with you when we all leave.Webber: Adele, baby. Are you ready for dinner? Adele: Aah! This is a private room! Get out! Webber: You get that man out of here! Manager: Dr. WebberWebber: Its assault. She was vulnerable. You just dont let a manManager: Please, sirWebber: He took advantage of my wife. Hes a predator. If you dont get him out, I will sue.Manager: Dr. Webber, Allan has Alzheimers. His is quite progressed, further along than your wifes, even. Hes not a predator. Hes a patient here.Doctor: You know, I dont have to tell you that Columbia has a cutting-edge cardio program. So I hope the fact that Ive flown cross country to come knocking on your door shows you just how serious we are aboutCristina: Can you pass me the butter? Doctor: Yeah.Cristina: Thank you.Doctor: You should come to New York to visit. You like theater? I can get you tickets to any musical youd like.Cristina: Oh, I hate musicals. I do like wine, though.Doctor: Waiter. More wine.Waiter: Coming.Meredith: Theres an old fracture in your pelvis that Dr. Torres is concerned about. Callie: Its called an avulsion fracture. At first I thought it might have happened when you ran away, but this injury is a lot older than that. Do you remember when the pain first started or anything that mightve happened right before that, a-a fall, maybe?Holly: No, I-I-I dont. Oh maybe it happened after I had the baby. It was a few years ago. I-I think it died. I couldnt walk for a long time after. I-I It must have happened then, right? Callie: Uh-thats-yes, thatsHolly: Im sorry. I didntKathleen: No. Should-No. ItsHolly: Should I not have said anything? Kathleen: Excuse me.Meredith: Its okay.Meredith: Sorry Im late.Bailey: No, its been a while since youve been in my O.R. Im honored you showed up.Teddy: Has Grey been ditching you, too, for interviews? Cristina has been so distracted. Meredith, do you know who shes talking to today? Meredith: Stanford, I think.Teddy: Stanford? Wh-Since when has she been interested in Stanford? Bailey: You blame her? Youd be a fool not to pursue cardio at Stanford. Kinda like-general at the Brigham.Meredith: I told you, the program director was very understanding when I called.Bailey: And you believed her after canceling three times? You know how many strings I had to pull to get you in there? Meredith: Well, the chief assigned this case to me. What am I supposed to do? Teddy: Stanford? I mean, that is just-thats far. Hunt is really okay with that? Bailey: Grey, will you, uh, tie these vessels off? Meredith: Mm-hmm.Frank: Shes been through enough. She doesnt need to worry about some jerk taking her picture in the hall.Owen: I am so sorry.Well, dont be, just-help me, okay? Help me keep her safe.Frank: It wont happen again.Cristina: Hey, um, Teddy needed you to sign off on the stem cell paperwork.Owen: Okay.Cristina: People have cameras on their phones. He cant expect you to ban phones from the hospital.Owen: No, no, but I can make sure that the hallways are clear before they move her, or security keeps a lookout. Im-Im not thinking. Im making mistakes in over my head. I wasnt supposed to be the chief. I wasnt supposed to be this-guy. Im-I mean, how am I the guy that ends up making this mans daughter more hurt than she already is? Im just-Im failing. ImCristina: Youre doing the best you can.Mark: And how was your day, my little scootchie coo? Did you just have so much fun playing with Zola? Derek: You know, she doesnt understand you any better the more idiotic you sound. Hey, Zola. Good evening. Good evening. How are you? Bailey: Tuck? Tucker? Tara: Hey, dont be shy.Bailey: Hey, uh, wheres Tuck?Tara: Im not sure. He was-just here.Bailey: You dont know? You know its your job to know where my son is? Derek: Tara, whens the last time you saw him? Tara: A few minutes ago. I swear, he was right here.Man: A few-Try it again. WhBailey: Um, call, a-a code pink. Right now.Tara: What? No, theres a protocol for a codeBailey: Hey, hey, my son is missing. Okay? Hes gone. You took your eyes off of him, and hes gone. Now you pick up that phone, and you make that call right now, or I swear to god, I will have your throat.Derek: Tara, just do it.Bailey: Just call the code pink! Ill look for him.Tara: Yes, we have a code pink. A 5-year-old boy, missing I-Im not sure how long. Um, I dont know. Hes wearing a green-stripedBailey: Please dont just stand there. Okay? Look. Help me find him. Oh, god. Hes probably screaming cause he knows to scream if theres a-a stranger. Just-oh, god. Hes screaming. Hes screamWoman: Dr. Bailey.Bailey: What? Woman: He had a nosebleed. I-I took him to the nurse.Bailey: What? What? There you are! Come here. Let me see. Is that-Let me see that tissue. Oh, my goodness. Oh, well, then I guess, umTara: Yes, you can cancelDerek: Where was he?Tara: Were gonna have to goMark: Nosebleed.Bailey: Get you an ice cream. Yeah? Yeah? Well, lets go home.Tuck: Mm-hmm. And, uh, lets, uh, get some ice cream. Here. Come on, sweetheart. Oh, I cant believe you had a nosebleed.Jackson: And-that should just about do it.Claire: Impressive. Most of our candidates cant get the detail on the triangular fossa. Jackson: Yeah, well, uh, if this whole surgeon thing doesnt pan out, then I guess I could take my act on the road. You know, just set up a little whittling booth at a county fair.Claire: I think people would pay good money for that, especially when they hear, its made by Harper Averys grandson. Which reminds me, do you think that hed ever be interested in doing a lecture here? Weve been after him for years.Jackson: Mm.Alex: Youre a name brand. Youre like the freaking Ritz-Carlton of surgery. Who cares if thats why they want you? Cristina: Because he knows deep down hes more of a roadside motel.April: Oh, oh, oh, shes going for the soup.Cristina: Bold move. Shes gonna have to talk to the soup guy.Jackson: Shes looking good. Looking confident.Alex: And she bails. No soup for Holly.Lexie: She looks terrified. Why are you so mean? Would you just go buy her some soup? Meredith: No, its not mean. Shes going home soon, and Dr. Fincher says, she has to learn to do things for herself.Cristina: Mm. And youre gonna finally have to go to Boston for your interview.Meredith: I am not avoiding the interview.Cristina: Really?April: Well, wherever you go, just beware, they may judge you more on your personality than what really matters, like your resume.Alex: Meredith is not like you. Her personality doesnt suck.Jackson: Oh, pizza station.Cooker: Hey.April: Oh, whatever! You know what? Those programs can suck it. Im tired of trying so hard not to be me. You know what? I like me.Alex: That makes one of us. You make it so easy.Jackson: Look, you dont have to not be you. Just be a little less you. Thats all.Mark: Get up.Jackson: What are you doing? Mark: Claire Hiatt just called to tell me you walked out on your interview. Call her back, apologize.Jackson: Look, I respectfully withdrew my application.Mark: You want me to drag you out by your ear? Jackson: IAlex: Freaking Robbins.Holly: UhSo I didnt actually, uh, speak to anyone. ButI-Uh, did go to the self-serve station. And it actually wasnt that hard. What? Meredith: Nothing. Looks good.Alex: You know who is an awesome mentor? Arizona: Ooh, youre gonna say me, and were gonna high-five, right? Alex: Sloan.Alex: He gets Avery interviews at hospitals who have more to offer than the sundaes in their cafeteria.Arizona: Oh, relax. I just heard back from a colleague in Florida, and hes dying to meet you.Alex: Miami?Arizona: Mm. Tampa. Well, just a little outside.Alex: Why are you doing this? I thought you liked me.Arizona: Of course I do, thats why Ive spent tons of time turning you into a great doctor. And now for my trouble, what, youre gonna ditch me for some other program? Alex: You dont want me to go. Youve been tanking my recommendations.Arizona: I know. Its awful. I feel really guilty about it. But you dont know how hard it is to find a good peds fellow, and Im not gonna let them take my best candidate.Alex: Im your best? Arizona: Go away.Alex: Look, get on the phone, tell the people you actually respect that Im the best-Yale, Baylor, Brown. No more One hour outside of Toledos. Arizona: Did you not just hear me? Im not gonna help you leave.Alex: You want me to stay here because I want to, not because I have no other choice. Call.Meredith: Hey. How are you feeling? That was a pretty big deal.Holly: Not really.Meredith: I dont know. Braving that cafeteria line is pretty major, even for those of us who havent beenHolly: Kept in a basement for 12 years?Meredith: For those of us who havent been through what youve been through.Holly: Why do you do that, talk around it? The therapist and my parents and-what Ive been through is being-kicked and raped and slapped and starved. And I mean, I get it, but it was my life. And I didnt get to talk to him about my life with my parents, and now I dont get to talk to anyone about him.Meredith: But you can talk about him.Holly: No, I cant. No, youll-youll think you wont get it.Meredith: Try me.Holly: He wasnt only bad. Sometimes he was okay. Hed let me go upstairs and wed watch stuff together, movies. And it was like it was normal. When I came back here, I turned on the TV, and there was this movie on that we watched together. And I started to miss him. And I know thats bad, and I must be sick. And dont tell the shrink that I said anything, cause she-shes gonna ask me how I feel about it. And I dont know. All I know is, is-I should be happy that Im here and not there. But sometimes Im not.Meredith: Thats okay. However you feel is okay.Nurse: Theyve called three times to see if youd received it.Cristina: What self-respecting program sends a fruit basket anyway? Champagne, sure, but fruit? Fruit just says your program sucks.Owen: Whos that? Cristina: Uh, Hopkins.Owen: Hopkins in Maryland? Cristina: Yeah.Owen: Well-Hopkins is a great program. And theyre recruiting you, so thats-thats something to be proud of.Cristina: Do you want an apple?Owen: Yeah.Webber: Well, you have a better view of the pond. You know, I heard that Mrs. Thompson across the hall has a great movie collection. Adele, what is it? Adele: He hasnt come to visit or call. I dont know what I did wrong.Webber: You did nothing wrong, honey. Its just-Im your husband, for 30 years now. Im right here. I-This is us on our wedding day. Your mother took it right after the ceremony. You and-Were married? Webber: Yes, honey. I proposed on new years, and-and we were married the Valentines after. Mmy. Funny valentine. Sweet. Comic valentine. You make me smile. With my heart. Your looks are. Laughable. Unphotographable-Adele: Allan? Wheres Allan? Can you help me find him, sir, please? This isnt like him. He loves me. He wouldnt just disappear. He loves me. Allan? Where are you? Allan, please come home, baby. Please.Meredith: The C.T. showed a leak in her celiac artery graft, so we have to take her into the O.R. right away.Cristina: Wheres Bailey? Meredith: I-I think you should go in and say good-bye to her before we take her to surgery.Kathleen: No. No, you go do that. Help her. Please.Meredith: Kathleen, this is very serious.Kathleen: She doesnt trust us like she trusts you. Take care of her, please.Cristina: Shes crashing. I need a chest tray. Lets get some gloves.Nurse: Coming through.Cristina: She arrested. I need to crack her chest. Someone, uh, page Altman. Lets get some drapes. Scalpel. Thank you. Rib spreaders.Meredith: I need some suction.Nurse: Suction. Lets get those blinds.Owen: Patient is 18-year-old female Holly Wheeler. Dr. Altman?Teddy: I got the page from Dr. Yang at 22:18, and then met her and Dr. Bailey in the O.R. where we discovered that the previous graft had become infected. While we tried to interpose another graft away from the infection, she arrested several times on the table. We had to restart internal cardiac massage, give her an intracardiac epi, and fortunately, we were able to resuscitate her.
