11、1)由时间状语来判定一般说来，各种时态都有特定的时间状语。与过去完成时连用的时间状语有：by过去的时间点I had finished reading the novel by nine oclock last night.到昨天晚上九点，我已经读完了那本小说。by the end of过去的时间点More than three thousand English words had been learned by the end of last term.到上学期末已经学习了三千多个英语单词了。before过去的时间点More than six hundred trees had been pl

12、anted before last Wednesday.在上周三前已经种了600多棵树了。(2)由“过去的过去”来判定过去完成时表示“过去的过去”，是指过去某一动作之前已经发生或完成的动作，即动作有先后关系，动作在前的用过去完成时，在后的用一般过去时。这种用法常出现在宾语从句中。当宾语从句的主句为一般过去时，且从句的动作先于主句的动作时，从句要用过去完成时。如told，said，knew，heard，thought等动词后的宾语从句。I heard that she had been offered a well-paid job in a foreign company.我听说她已经在国外一

13、家公司得到了一份收入丰厚的工作。巧学妙记过去完成时记忆口诀had加上“过去分”，构成过去完成时。过去完成的意义，也表“完成”或“延续”。若有主、从两个句，先后动作分别叙。哪个在先哪“完成”，哪个在后哪“过去”。5.过去完成时与一般过去时的区别 虽然这两种时态都表示过去发生的动作或存在的状态，但在使用时应注意以下几点： (1)时间状语不同：过去完成时在时间上强调“过去的过去”；而一般过去时只强调过去某一特定的时间。试比较： They had arrived at the station by ten yesterday.昨天10点前他们已经到达了车站。They arrived at the st
