Its my great honor to stand here to share my teaching ideas with you. Today I am going to talk about the second period in section A of unit

2、 9 Can you come to my party? Its from Go for it of Grade Eight. My presentation consists of six parts.Part one: Analysis of the teaching material Unit: The topic of this unit is about invitations. Function language is to make, accept and decline invitations by using can, have to, must and so on. Stu

3、dents should learn to communicate with others more politely. Class: In this period we have to practice speaking and listening. Besides revision, to master the sentence patterns and the customs, students practice listening and speaking by having the exercise. From 2a to 2d, we use the input of listen

4、ing and speaking to realize the output of language.Part two: Analysis of the students The students have learned English for some years. They understand some words and simple sentences. This is the second period of the unit, so they have mastered the basic phrases and sentence patterns. Such a topic

5、is related to our daily life. So its easy for students. They are curious, active and fond of game, cooperation and various activities. They will be interested in this topic.Part three: Teaching aims My teaching aims include the following parts.1. Knowledge aimsBy the end of this lesson, students can

6、 review and use the words and phrases. At the same time, the students can know how to use this sentence pattern “ Can you come to my party?” and know how to answer it.2. Ability aimsTo develop their abilities of working in pairs and communication skills.3. Emotional aimsFrom this lesson, students wi

7、ll be polite to others when they refuse their invitations. Part four: Teaching important and difficult pointsAccording to the new standard curriculum and the syllabus, I think the important points are to make, accept and decline invitations. The difficult point is to decline the invitations politely

8、 by using can, must or have to.Part five: Methods of teaching and studyIn this lesson, my teaching methods include situational teaching method, communicative teaching method and task-based teaching method. The students will use strategy and cooperation to obtain knowledge and develop their skills.Pa

9、rt six: Teaching Procedures1 lead-in (5mins)Use a picture of a party to review the sentence pattern “can you come to my party?” and the answers to it. I will ask a girl student to act as the main character in 2a, Anna to make an invitation and some other students to answer.Purpose: By brief and dire

10、ct talking, I hope to catch students attention to prepare for the new lesson.2 Presentation (5mins) Introduce the guys in 2a and ask the students to guess whether they will accept the invitation of Anna. Purpose :let students get familiar with the content they will listen to and guess what the answe

11、rs they will hear.3 Listening practice (5mins)Explain the task and make sure the students understand what to do. Then play the tape. After listening check the answer. When finishing all the tasks, lead the students to think about how to be polite when they decline the invitation from others. That is

12、 to give a reason.Purpose : It aims to practice the listening ability of the target language in spoken conversations.4 Pairwork (10mins)make the students find a partner first. Then help each pair to make their own conversation. Task1: think of as many reasons to decline the invitation as possible.Ta

13、sk 2: have a discussion together to gather the information.Task 3: to create a conversation by using the patterns they learn just now. Purpose: Practice the new target language with the help of the language learned. It aims to cater for individual differences, develop students knowledge, communicati

14、on skills and cooperative skills5. Role-play (5mins)use a picture in 2d to make the students learn about the relationship and the reasons why they make, decline or accept the invitation.read the dialogue and find out the answers to the questions. then ask the students to read the dialogue after the

15、tape.The purpose of this part is to make students find out the main factors of an invitation and know more about the tongues and pronunciations to better serve the output of the language later.6. Mind map (10mins)Help the students create a mind map step by step to make the students think how to make

16、, accept and decline an invitation and make their own conversations. after talking about the ways, Ill use a video from boxfish to give them a topic to prepare for. After, I will give them some time to prepare for the performance and then its show time.The purpose is to put what they have learnt to

17、use. At the same time, they can develop their skill of cooperation and communication. They can also realize the importance of being polite. 7 Homework (1min)In the end, Ill give some homework. Let them make an invitation and write down the results and the reasons why they cant come. No matter which steps are taken, the purpo
