TherearealotofthingsinoureducationalsystemthatIdon'tagreewith.Itseemsthateducatorsjustwanttogive

standardizedtests,whichfocusonlyonacademicperformancebutneglectstudents,abilitiesandinterestsinotherareas.

Ithinkthere?realotofpeoplewhoareveryintelligent,buthaven'lhadtheopportunitiestheycould'vehad,hadthey

beeneducatedinabroader-mindededucationalsystems.Ifeelthatalotofcoursesthatstudentsarefocusedtotakein

highschoolaretooacademic,and,asaresult,manykidslosttheirinterestinlearning.

Educatorshavefailedtorecognizevariouskindsofintelligence.Theyoftenexertalotofpressureonstudentstobeas

well-roundedaspossible.Ithinkbeingwell-roundedisn'treallypossible.Andasaconsequencesomestudentswhoare

believedtobeintelligentcan'tgetintogoodcollegesifthey,forexample,haven'tscoredwellonthemathsection,even

iftheyatebrilliantwriters.
