24、jobsatisfactionwouldseemtobecausingoverallhappiness,nottheotherwayaround.Marriage&FamilyIn2004,42percentofmarriedAmericanssaidtheywereveryhappy.Just23percentofnever-marriedpeoplesaidthis.Overall,marriedpeopleweresixtimesmorelikelylosaythattheywereveryhappythantoreportthattheywerenottoohappy.Andgener
25、allyspeaking,marriedwomensaytheyrehappymoreoftenthanmarriedmen.Marriageisntjustassociatedwithhappiness-itbringshappiness,atleastforalotofus.One2003studythatfollowed24,000peopleformorethanadecadedocumentedasignificantincreaseinhappinessafterpeoplemarried.Forsome,thehappinessincreaseworeoffinafewyears
