Unit4 How do you get to school? Section A The first period本单元讨论的话题是交通运输方面的,是非常具有实用性的内容。本节课是本单元的第一课时,它是一堂说写课。主要让学生掌握交通工具和基本句型“How do you?”要求学生能以how to get to school为话题展开对话进行交际,并能以our trip plans为题写一篇60 字左右的短文., 同时在教学过程中教育学生要自觉遵守交通法规。新目标英语强调的是任务型教学,强调学生要成为教学活动的主体,而老师只是从中起到协调引导作用,因此在我的教学设计里,比较重视学生活动。充分调动起学生的积极性,让他们成为学习的主动者。下面就我的教学设计作简要说明。一、Teaching Aims and Demands:1. Moral ObjectKnow about some traffic rules二、Teaching Key Points: Key vocabulary: subway, take the subway, train, ride a bike, take the bus, take the train, walk, take a taxi三、 Difficult Points: Target language: Hey, Dave. How do you get to school? I walk. How about you, Sally? I ride my bike. How does Mary go to school? She takes the train.四、Teaching Methods: Listening method. ; Pair work五、Teaching Aids: A projector pictures六、Teaching Procedures: Step One: Greet the class as usual. Good morning ! How are you? Hows the weather today? 意图:. 复习日常用语,强化交际能力,准备进入新课 。Step 2 Lead-in At the beginning of the class, play a video about how Mickey and Donald are traveling.良好的开端是成功的一半。它在相当程度上决定着一堂课的成败。所以,上课一开始,我就播放一段有有趣的米奇旅游录象,激发学生的兴趣,通过提问,让学生清楚明确本节课要学什么 Step3 Learn the new words Show some pictures of the new words on the screen. Ask students to try to read these words. bus ,bike, train, plane, subway, car, ship, motorbike, then introduce some useful expressions, e,g , by train,/bus plane /subway, take the bus /train /subway, ride a bike, and so on ,Step Four: StructuresPhrasestake the bus, take the train, take the subway, ride a bike, take a car, take the airplane, take the boat, on footThen show the pictures to them and ask them to say each phrase one by one. Step3 Guessing game(have a competition between boys and girls) This step is a memory game. write down five sentences in English( Ask students to look through sentences quickly, then check which group win at last. (通过多媒体屏幕和自制图片向学生展示所学单词和词组, 图文并茂,非常直观地向学生展示了新单词和短语,简单的单词游戏既调动了学生的学习积极性又强化了单词记忆,为下一步的听说训练作好准备。)Step 4. Pair work The teacher show the pictures to students and ask students to answer the question “How do you go to school?” one by one. Then do another exercise. The first student say “I go to school by or I take/rideto school.”,then the second student say “He/ She goes to school byor He/ She takesto school.”Then, Show the target language on the screen. How do you get to school?I get to school-I -to school. (让学生通过图片来记短语,生动形象。句子接龙能引起学生的注意,让他们既要考虑自己怎么说还要注意听别人怎么说,而且在这一过程中充分训练了单三人称的句子)Step5. Group work Ask a student to act out by body language how he /she goes to school, the others guess(这个环节主要是给不同水平的学生都能有“试一试”的机会,使学生从中体验到成功功的喜悦,感受到努力的价值。通过对话让学生更好的掌握所学的句型) Step6. : Listening Ask students to look at the picture in their books. Ask them some questions about the picture. What can you see in the picture? How many people are there in the picture? What are they doing? After this, play the recording for two times, ask students to finish Activity 1b and write down the phrases of the transports. takes the train, takes the subway, takes the bus For the third time, ask students to repeat the conversation and check the answers together. The teacher give the correct answers on the screen. (通过听力让学生对于本课的单词和基本句型有了更深印象,并且让他们自己从听力中领悟怎样表达使用某种交通工具。) Step 7 Pair work Teacher: can you guess how I get to work ?act it out by a body language , Yeah, I get to work on foot every day .and my father is a doctor , he goes to work by bike , my mother is a bank clerk, she goes to work by bus, Then ask students to work in pairs. Ask and answer how their parents go to work? As they work, move around the room, offering language or pronunciation support as needed. Finally ask some pairs of students to present their conversations to the class.(紧密联系生活实际,谈论自己父母上班的交通方式,再一次活跃课堂气氛,充分激发他们的兴奋点,以达到课堂教学的进一步实现:知识的拓展和深化)Step8 WritingA composition: our trip plans show a picture on the screen(设计说明)以圣诞节马上就要来临为话题,结合交通方式来谈论旅游计划,这是学生动脑动手的操练,要求他们在课堂上完成作文,使学生处于主动学习和能力发现与提高的状态。因为前面已作了大量的听说训练,
