摘要 听是人们重要的交流手段，是接受语言知识和获取其他各种信息 的主要渠道。在大学英语教学中，学生听力理解能力的培养已越来越 凸显其重要性。然而，现阶段的听力教学并没有完全脱离传统的教学 模式，听力教学效果并不十分理想。面对这些问题，笔者认为当前值 得我们深入探讨的就是如何有效地提高学生的听力理解能力，以培养 学生的语用能力。 语用学作为研究在特定情境中的特定话语，特别是研究在不同的 语言交际环境下如何理解和运用语言的学科，与英语教学有着不可分 割的联系。塞尔的间接言语行为理论是语用学的重要内容之一，主要 研究句子的言外之意现象。在现实交际中，出于某种原因，人们往往 会间接地表达自己的真实想法或者意图，即言外之意，而这也正是间 接言语行为理论与听力教学的结合点所在。为了提高学生对间接言语 行为的理解，笔者认为在大学英语听力教学中引入一些语用学知识是 必不可少的。 本文通过实证研究，探索将间接言语行为理论应用于大学英语听 力教学的可行性，试图探寻一种有效的听力教学方法，培养学生对听 力理解中言外之意的推导策略与能力，以期实现对非英语专业学生英 语听力理解能力的培养，达到全面提高学生英语综合能力的目的。 本文从论述听力理解及大学英语听力教学现状入手，在系统地介 绍塞尔的间接言语行为理论、l e e c h 的礼貌原则以及语用推理理论的 基础上阐述了间接言语行为在听力教学中的重要性。基于间接言语行 为理论，笔者做了相关的实证研究。研究结果表明：将间接言语行为 理论应用于大学英语听力教学是可行的。最后，笔者就如何培养学生 的语用能力、提高大学英语听力教学效率提出了一些建议。 ! i i 本文力图突破当前听力教学方法研究的局限性，希望对今后进一 步的研究起到抛砖引玉的作用。 关键词：间接言语行为；字面意义；言外之力：听力教学 i v
