摘要： 托马斯- 哈代是连接1 9 世纪和2 0 世纪英国文学的桥梁。他既是伟大的小 说家又是伟大的诗人。然而在国内外的哈代研究中有这样一种倾向，他的小说 往往是批评家关注的焦点，而对他的诗歌的研究无论在数量上还是在质量上都 很难与对他的小说的研究相提并论，因此哈代的诗歌需要深入而系统的研究。 近年来，越来越多的评论家对哈代诗歌的写作风格及语言运用做了研究，但用 生态主义评述的并不多见。 随着当今世界环境危机的加剧和环保运动的发展，一种新的文学批评理论 生态批评于2 0 世纪7 0 年代兴起，并于9 0 年代迅速发展起来。它是研究文 学与自然环境之间关系的一种文学批评理论。2 0 世纪9 0 年代至今，伴随着全 球性的生态危机以及现代人精神危机的日益加剧，生态批评逐渐受到了关注和 重视。生态批评最现实的意义是在反思与批判中唤醒人们的生态意识。 本论文试图应用生态批评理论研究哈代和他的诗歌。首先说明哈代诗歌里 面描写的阴郁冷酷的自然表现了哈代对自然的焦虑感；然后论文仔细地分析了 意识形态的趋势和哈代的诗歌，表明他的生态理念；同时指出这种理念发展的 结果为人类对整体、和谐与仁爱的追求，而这种追求也演变成为哈代的生态理 想。本文旨在对哈代及其诗歌的分析，激发人们对环境保护的重视，让人们认 ， 识到：全球环境破坏的日益严重已经对人类的生存构成了威胁，我们应从生态 整体利益的角度出发，担负起生态责任，只有这样，人类才能健康地生活下去。 论文共分六部分，第一章对哈代的生活背景、文学生涯及国内外对他诗歌 评价的综述。第二章介绍生态批评的形成、发展及与哈代诗歌相关的生态批评 理论。第三章分析了哈代的诗歌对自然的深切关注。第四章从三方面论述哈代
