It only supports packet file. It has the following advantages:l High efficiencyMultiple mobile devices can perform downloading at the same.l Easy operationYou need only to connect the mobile device to the serial port and switch to the correct mode. The program automatically detects the files and starts downloading. After downloading, you can manually change to another mobile device and downloading starts again. 1.2 File CompositionFactoryDownload consists of the files described in Table 1-1. Set FactoryDownload parameters.This icon is unavailable during downloading and turns available after downloading. Detect and open the usable serial port and prepare for downloading.l Automatic: The program automatically detects the mobile devices connected to the serial port and starts downloading if it finds such mobile devices. After downloading, the program starts detecting again. l Manual: The program reports the download result after downloading is complete. Downloading starts again after you click this icon again.This icon is unavailable the first time you run the program and you can start downloading after configuration. Stop downloading. This icon is available when user clicks the Start icon and the usable serial port is open.To protect NV file downloading, this icon turns unavailable. In other cases, user can click this icon to stop downloading. Only after downloading is stopped can you exit the program. Empty indicates that the file size is automatically calculated during downloading. 3 Operation Guide3.1 Quick Start Guide3.1.1 RunningRun Download.exe. The main interface is displayed, as shown in Figure 2- Opening Packets and Configuring FilesClick to open packets to be downloaded and configure files if necessary. 3.1.3 Setting ParametersClick . The FactoryDownload Settings dialog box is displayed as shown in Figure 2- Starting DownloadingClick . The program automatically starts detecting usable serial ports and opens these ports for downloading. First, it will prompt the dialog Error! Reference source not found. Input SN and then click “OK” button, FactoryDownload will start downloading; if click the “Suspend” button, FactoryDownload will display Figure 3-2. When you click in the list, it will repeat above progress.Figure 3-1 Input SNFigure 3-2 FactoryDownload progressIf the mobile device is connected and downloading has not started, infer that:l The mobile device is not powered.l The serial port is used by other applications. Exit the applications.l The mobile device is not in boot mode.For details about how to switch to boot mode, refer to relevant documents. Figure 3-3 Pause state3.1.5 Downloading CompleteFigure 3-4 shows that downloading is complete.Figure 3-4 PassedFigure 3-5 shows that downloading fails. The failure causes are given.Figure 3-5 FailedIn automatic mode, the downloading result is displayed for 10 seconds and then the main interface is displayed. In manual mode, unless you click , the downloading result is always displayed. 3.1.6 Stopping DownloadingClick to stop downloading.3.2 Common Settings3.2.1 Configuring Serial Port Select the serial port in the Port drop-down list box as shown in Figure 3-6. Figure 3-6 Configuring the serial portThe baud rate can be 57600, 115200, 230400, 60800, and 921600. The default value is 115200. If you select a baud rate that not matched the mobile device, FactoryDownload will not open the serial port or FactoryDownload files. 3.2.2 Multi-Language Tab PageFigure 3-7 Multi-language tab pageIt is used to set the supported languages in NV file specially.
