3、thenIcamebackandtellmyfriendsthatI'mgoingtoopenapanycalledInternet.Iinvited24ofmyfriends,hadatwo-hourdiscussion.Andfinallywehadavote.23ofthemagainstme.Forgetaboutit.There'snosuchkindofnetworkcalledInternet.Don'tdoit.There'sonlyonepersonwhosaidJack,Itrustyou.Idon'tknowwhatthatis,b

6、tin1996.Sooneday,later1996,ChinawasconnectedtotheInternet.Iinvitedtenmediafriendstomyapartment.IwanttotellthemI'mnottellingalie.ThereisanetworkcalledInternet.Wewaitedthreehoursandahalftoseethefirst–todownloadthefirstpicture.AndpeoplesaidIsthatthinggoingtowork?AndIsayYeah,it'llwork,

15、obuyandsell.Wehave10millionsmallbusinessonoursitebuyandselleveryday.Andwedonotdeliverourpackages,although–ourselves,thoughwehavemorethan2millionpeoplehelpustodeliverover30millionpackagesperday.Wedonotownwarehouses,butwemanagetensandthousandsofwarehousesforothersmall,mediumsizeddeliverypani

16、es.Andwedonotowninventories,butwedohavemorethan350millionbuyers.Wehavemorethan120millionbuyersingtoshopeverydayonoursite.Andalso,wesell–ourrevenuelast–oursaleslastyearwereUS$390billion.Andthisyear,possibly,wearegoingtobebiggerthanWalmartglobally.AndWalmartmanage–thatsiz

17、eofbusinesshavemorethanmillionpeople;wegrowfrom18peopletotoday34,000people.AndthedifferencebetweenAmazonandustheotherisAmazonisashoppingcenter.Becauseheree-merceismerce,inChinae-merceisalifestyle.Youngpeople,theyusinge-mercetoexchangeideas,theymunicate,theybuildupthetrust,theybuilduparecord.It's

18、justlikeStarbucks–younevergotoStarbuckstotesthowwonderfulcoffeeis.It'salifestyle.AndthisishowInternete-merceischangingChina.Andwhatwefeltproudofisnothowmuchthingswesell.Isaidthisyearwe'llbebiggerthanWalmart–yes,weareproud.WeknowinfiveyearswewillsellUS$1trillion.Thisismygo
