The second purpose of the Summit is to change the situation that no new Industrial countries were included in the global economy and management of the past meetings. France is very hon

4、ored to chair the Group of Twenty in 2011.AchievementsThe G-20 has progressed a range of issues since 1999, including agreement about policies for growth, reducing abuse of the financial system, dealing with financial crises and combating terrorist financing To tackle the financial and economic cris

5、is that spread across the globe in 2008, the G20 members were called upon to further strengthen international cooperation. Accordingly, the G20 Summits have been held in Washington in 2008, in London and Pittsburgh in 2009, and in Toronto and Seoul in 2010.Achievements The concerted and decisive act

6、ions of the G20, with its balanced membership of developed and developing countries helped the world deal effectively with the financial and economic crisis, and the G20 has already delivered a number of significant and concrete outcomes .The Group of SevenGroup of Seven The G7 (also known as the G-

7、7) is the meeting of the finance ministers from a group of seven industrialized nations. It was formed in 1976, when Canada joined the Group of Six: France, Germany, Italy, Japan, United Kingdom, and United States. The finance ministers of these countries meet several times a year to discuss economi

8、c policies. Their work is supported by regular, functional meetings of officials, including the G7 Finance Deputies. Group of Seven It is not to be confused with the G8, which is the annual meeting of the heads of government of the aforementioned nations, plus Russia.The group of eightThe Group of E

9、ight (G8, and formerly the G6 or Group of Six and also the G7 or Group of Seven) is a forum, created by France in 1975, for governments of six countries in the world: France, Germany, Italy, Japan, the United Kingdom, and the United States. In 1976, Canada joined the group (thus creating the G7). In

10、 becoming the G8, the group added Russia in 1997. In addition, the European Union is represented within the G8, but cannot host or chair. foreign ministers, or G8 environment ministers.G8G8 can refer to the member states or to the annual summit meeting of the G8 heads of government. The former term,

11、 G6, is now frequently applied to the six most populous countries within the European Union. G8 ministers also meet throughout the year, such as the G7/8 finance ministers (who meet four times a year), G8 foreign ministers, or G8 environment ministers. G8 Each calendar year, the responsibility of ho

12、sting the G8 rotates through the member states in the following order: France, United States, United Kingdom, Russia, Germany, Japan, Italy, and Canada. The holder of the presidency sets theagenda, hosts the summit for that year, and determines which ministerial meetings will take place. Lately, both France and the United Kingdom have expressed a desire to expand the group to include five developing countries, referred to as
