And talk about this situation with students.Can you guess whats the feeling of the person? Have you ever had the same experience? Can you share the experience with us? What were you doing when the rainstorm came?PresentationLook at the sentence in the picture:”What were people doing yesterday at time of the rainstorm? ” Read it aloud over and over, and try to recite it. Then think over what the difference is between “What were you doing?” and “What are you doing?”Have some students try to say out their ideas.Then point out that they both mean “doing”, but “were” represents a past time, while “are” represents now.Listening1. Listen to the TV reporter and circle the correct responses in 1a.2. Check the students answers.3.
