3、the new standard of English requires the students understand the definition of first aid and how to give first aid by using some sentence patterns. If the students can learn it well, it will be helpful to the rest of this unit. Such a topic is related to daily life, so it is easy to raise the studen
4、ts learning interest.2) Teaching aimsKnowledge aim: To learn some important words, phrases and sentence patterns, such as fall ill, first aid, Follow these instructions. Dontbecause.Ability aim: Develop the students ability of listening, speaking, reading, especially speaking ability.Emotional aim:
5、Educate the students to help someone who faces emergency.3) Teaching important pointHelp the students give first aid by using some sentence patterns.Teaching difficult pointHow to master the knowledge of first aid and how to give first aid.Part2:Analysis of the studentsThey are in Grade Two, they ha
6、ve known something about first aid and how to give first aid. Most students are active in class and they often use English to express themselves. The topic is related to daily life, so they have strong learning interest.Part3:Teaching methods and aidsTeaching methods: For some easy questions, I will
7、 use Question-and answer activity teaching method. For the group work, I will use free discussion method, pair work and individual work method. Of course, task-based teaching method is the most important. At the same time I will use some remarks in class, such as Teaching aids: multimedia and the bl
8、ackboardPart4:Learning methodsModern teaching theory says: The process of acquiring knowledge is more important than acquiring knowledge itself. So the students will use self-studymethod and cooperative learning method, they should practice speaking with their partners.Part5:Teaching proceduresI wil
9、l finish the lesson from the following steps.Step1:GreetingsGreet the whole class as usual.Step2:Revision(2 minutes to finish)Review some words and phrases, ask the students to answer it one by one.Step3:Lead-in(4 minutes to finish)Watch a short video “ a six-year-old boy Tongtong was choked by a li
10、ttle lychee”. After watching it, let the students answer two questions. Question1:Whats wrong with Tongtong? (The students may say he was choked by a lychee.) Question2:What can we do to help him?(The students may say we can pat him and make him cough.)That is to say, we can give him first aid, butw
11、hat is first aid ? Step4:Warming up(3 minutes to finish) Ask students to turn to page33 and read the passage quickly, then fill in the blanks about the definition of first aid. I will ask one student to finish it. After finishing it, let the students read it by themselves. Step5:Quiz about first aid
12、(5 minutes to finish) The students have known the definition of first aid, but how to give first aid?Now lets do a quiz about it. There are 8 questions for them to finish. First I will get them to do it by themselves, then check the answers with their partners, finally have a competition. After the
13、quiz,the students have learned how to treat a bleeding, a sprained ankle,a chkinga nosebleed,but in our daily life ,there are always unexpected things happening,what should we do? Its time to next step.Step6:Group work(20 minutes to finish)The students are divided into four groups,each group has its
14、 topic.Group1:bleeding Group2:a sprained ankle Group3:chokingGroup4:a nosebleed, they can use the following expressions. I will also make two models. Follow these instructions.
