a nightly visitor

A Nightly Visitor I am a cute, brown, rat. I like playing games with my neighbor whose name is Martha. However, he doesnt always know my humor. On a lonely, sultry night, like most nights in a sleepy Thai village, I was playing in the bathroom. How cool in the bathroom. May be my neighbor is jealous of my leisure. He slide away and asked two man to help him catch me. Swinging their brooms in crazy patterns over their heads, they chased me wildly all over the bathroom, barely missing one another. How stupid they were! They chased me in such a hot day, anyhow I was tired so I vanished form their sight. I had to talk with my neighbor anyway. He was so rude. I went to the study because I knew he was a teacher, he had enough knowledge to understand what I wanted to convey to him. I made some holes in the papers to tell him that I was plying with him and I was kindness enough. As time went on, I became more and more exasperated with my neighbor. He was my neighbor and of course he should be kind with me. It was sure that he should share his food with me. But he was so selfish that he got annoyed when I ate only a little food, a jar of mayonnaise, from his kitchen. Even he tested me with a bad banana. I am clever enough to recognize that but I didnt mind helping my neighbor recognize that. I was so warmhearted. What made me really angry was that my neighbor treated me a big “surprise”-a rat poison. Why he treated me so rude without mercy.Shouldnt he think I was a good neighbor? Should he believe that I would be caught for such a little papaya? What a fool! I decided to give him a warn.I gnawed a hole right through his bedroom wall. I was interested in potatoes but not interested in yellow cheese. I guessed my neighbor had thought a new idea to offend me. What a terrible thing, I was so careless that I was caught. Thinking what? To my surprise,my friend wanted to drown me. He throw me into the bucket. Climbing to the top of the cage, I hardly got my toenails wet.The bucket was too small.My neighbor grabbed a long,wooden stick,he opened the cage and attempted to push me into the water.In a flash, I took the chance to escape from this poison. I promised that I would never be caught again.The following day, I continued to outsmart my neighbor at every turn.Day by day, I felt bored to compete with such a fool so I found a new neighbor,an American Fulbright professor.
